📖 Stormwreck Isle lies a few miles from the Sword Coast, not far from the great city of Neverwinter. Though it isn’t far, few know much of the tiny volcanic island unless they are especially keen on the war between the chromatic and metallic dragons.
Its history swirls around several clashes in that ancient feud, though none for at least a century. Many powerful dragons were slain there, their life’s blood seeping into the isle’s pocked stone and staining its many tidal pools and caverns. As a result, the island itself was infused with draconic magic.
Scholars built an observatory on Stormwreck to study and harness the effects of this ambient arcane energy. Disappointingly, the island’s magic proved unpredictable and the project was abandoned long ago.
These days, Stormwreck is known only as the home of a modest temple to Bahamut, and as the source of a few obscure fungi in specialty apothecary shops. It has recently come to your personal attention, however—though you may or may not be eager to share the reason. There are infrequent supply deliveries to the island, and you’ve managed to book passage to follow a lead.
🎲 You are welcome to make a character, or use a pre-generated which comes with a ready made story hook. No need for an extensive backstory, but at least a reason to come to the isle.
💬 I’m looking for players interested in cooperatively building out the world and story with rich narrative detail. Tell us what your magic looks like! Is there a theme throughout, differences in offensive, healing, and defensive/support spells? Does your weapon or other gear have some interesting characteristic?
I enjoy watching and listening to that style of play because it’s more immersive and engaging, and would love to play more this way myself. Don’t let this stop you from joining if you’re intimidated. I promise not to be scary about it—we’ll be figuring it out together. 😊
⭐ I’m running this adventure for its own sake, and with an eye out for a long term group. My longtime and much beloved DM will be playing. If you gel well with both of us, you’ll likely be invited to an expanded Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign down the road.
I tried to be thorough, but feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for reading!
Hi there, loving the idea. So yeah I'm new, and and def willing to invest time into a rich narrative experience. Hope you still have that space available
Hi, I'm a woman in her 30's, on the newer side to playing dnd, and am looking for a great group to play with. I love roleplay, storytelling, and adventure, and love the idea of cooperatively building out the world together and that you run an inclusive group. I'm enthusiastic and eager to get playing, so I hope you still have a spot left! :)
Honestly reading this has got me buzzing to hear more! Definitely down to play! You probably know quite a bit due to the response on my post!
Looking at the time you would want these sessions to be held at, It would fit my own schedule like how items fit into a bag of holding (Perfectly!). You should have my discord but if not, here it is again: tabletoprolls.
