Hello! :D I'm looking for a play-by-post DnD group! Unfortunately, due to the busy-ness of life, I'm unable to commit to a specific time/day of the week to sit down and play synchronously... so I thought a play-by-post group made more sense! Hoping to look for other people who are interested as well, and hope to have a good time with everyone :D
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Age: 18+ (so we can explore mature, adult themes in a mature, adult manner without concern or worry) Experience: ~5 years (since summer 2020) Location/Timezone: PDT (GMT-7) but this is a play-by-post group... would it matter? Availability: I work a 9am - 5pm job, will reply when I'm free lolol Preferred role: Player
Game style: NARRATIVE FOCUS - What are the themes/concepts in the campaign that we're trying to explore? What aspects of the world make it so interesting to live in? GENRE: Def love some good ol' fantasy, but not opposed to any exciting fusions/twists~ - Open to both HOMEBREW & CLASSIC D&D campaigns :D - I love worldbuilding, history, and lore - the way everything is interconnected and how the choices we make can change the course of the world! - Love to roleplay + character exploration / development - understanding people's motivations, ideals, why they do the way they do is always so interesting and adds so much color and fun to the experience - BONUS: I found that Ginny Di's video of "What do you ACTUALLY want from a D&D game?" really helped explain my playstyle! I consider myself an Explorer, a Storyteller, a Problem Solver, and an Actor (sort of lolol)! What about you? :D
If you’re looking for a D&D 5e game with narrative depth, worldbuilding, and room for rich character development, check out The Nexus — a West Marches–style Discord server with a flexible structure and multiple DMs.
We primarily run live voice games on Discord, and they happen frequently across time zones — so even with a busy schedule, you might find sessions that fit. That said, we do offer play-by-post options as a secondary format, perfect for when your availability is unpredictable but you still want to stay engaged with your character and the world.
We use the 2014 ruleset, are 18+, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and focus on collaborative storytelling, lore, and meaningful roleplay — just like you described.
Looking for a game where backstories are involved? You can choose us I think you seen one of our post before, however we only have one open slot left and we all like to start with a different class so Noone gets outshines. I sent you a friend request on discord. Hope your fine with a warlock
