Game: D&D 5e 2024 Rules Group preferred: Online Experience: A year? On and Off Location/Timezone: USA, West Coast, PST Time Zone Availability: Friday or Saturday, Late Afternoon towards Night Preferred role: Player Game style: Normal Casual. I'm just looking to learn more (again) and get better, only way to do that is play more :)
If you're looking to get more experience and grow as a player in a relaxed, casual setting, The Nexus might be just what you’re after. We’re an 18+ LGBTQIA+ friendly D&D 5e community based on Discord, built around a flexible, drop-in Westmarch-style format.
Your character travels from a central hub to explore a range of different worlds, each run by a different DM. Most sessions are one-shots, so it’s easy to hop in when you’re available—especially on weekends like Friday or Saturday evenings, which match up well with our active scheduling.
We currently use the 2014 5e rules (not the 2024 revision), with all official sources allowed. Characters start at level 3 using a 35 Point Buy. There’s no level cap, but we do cap proficiency bonus at +10 to keep things balanced while still allowing for creative builds.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, check us out on the forum here.
