Hey, my name is Fritz. I am a DM of 5 years now. I have been running a premium game on Sundays for a year with a consistent group. I am looking to get a group for a Saturday campaign. I will be running a version of Lost Mines of Phandelver but with a Spelljammer twist to it. It will feature a little bit of homebrew and some house rules, but I stick mostly with rules as written (2014).
My games are beginner friendly. I run a free session 0 and your first session is free. Sessions thereafter cost $20. The discord used will be my Sunday dnd group discord so they will be able to provide honest unfiltered feedback as to how I run my games. If you have more question, or if you want to join, you can message me on here or add me on discord at Fritz7638
Hey there! I’m T Dawg and I’d like to invite you to come play with us in the ever-expanding world of The Age of Dragon Stones! We’re a group of 21+ that focus on voice acting and role play, with a little bit of combat in there to spice things up. We’re always looking for more players to come and join us in the fun! If you’re interested in hearing more about it, feel free to message me here or on discord @tdawg11114
If you're looking to jump into the online D&D scene with a welcoming and beginner-friendly group, The Nexus might be just what you're after. We’re a global, 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly community that runs free online games daily using the 2014 D&D 5e ruleset—all hosted through Discord.
You’ll start at level 3 with a generous 35 point buy, and we allow multiple characters, so there’s plenty of room to experiment—perfect for a Bard like yourself! We offer both voice-based sessions and Play-by-Post (text) options, and our community is very supportive of newer players looking to learn.
Games run in a Westmarch-style format, but unlike traditional Westmarch setups, each DM runs their own unique world, giving you a variety of tones and storytelling styles to experience. Whether you're in the mood for lighthearted RP or high-stakes combat, there's something for everyone.
Since you're available weeknights and weekends CST, you’ll have lots of opportunities to jump into games, thanks to our international schedule.
If that sounds like your vibe, check us out here. We'd love to have you join us in The Nexus!
I’m looking for a group that is more textual in role playing and does NOT involve voice acting. I’m currently going to try out a voice acting session to see how it goes but I’d prefer something more textual based and for a small fee. The free ones are nice but I’m willing to pay if quality is involved.
Lesson learned. Be wary of paid groups. They are still better than free groups, but I’m still burned because of one in this very thread whom I won’t tag. They promised the moon, took my money, then once they had two month’s of my money, they finally explained how they operated and I did not care for that at all. The sales pitch was good but it wasn’t even fun being forced to voice act and having little control of even how you played. I’m broke now so I won’t be able to pay for a session now this month and that makes me sad. Maybe next month?
Thank you to those who did reach out and call the experience BS. I just am going to be very cautious before I join a group now, which is unfortunate.
