Hi all! I’m above 18 and pretty new to the world of D&D. I’ve played a couple of one-shot games which I really enjoyed and want to play regularly. Because I’m very new , it seems daunting to join experienced players 😭 I’m based in Parramatta, so I’m looking for a beginner-friendly group to join, whether that’s in-person nearby or online. I’d love to find a regular group to play with, if there’s other women that’d be a bonus!
If anyone has a spot open or knows where I should look, I’d really appreciate it! I’m keen to learn, excited to dive in properly :)
Welcome to the world of D&D—it’s awesome that you’ve already dipped your toes in with some one-shots! If you're looking for a welcoming, beginner-friendly space to learn and grow, we’d love to invite you to our 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly online community.
We’re a Westmarch-style server, which means you’ll have access to a variety of games across multiple homebrew worlds, run by different DMs. It’s a great way to get regular experience at your own pace, without the pressure of jumping into a long-term group right away. That said, many players do find regular groups and recurring storylines with the DMs and characters they click with!
We use the 2014 D&D 5e ruleset (with all official content available), and you’ll start at level 3 with a generous 35 Point Buy. We also support D&D Beyond with content sharing, as well as G-Sheets and Dicecloud for character creation—so you’ve got options that work best for your comfort level.
Our community includes many women and gender-diverse players, and you’ll definitely find people who are supportive, friendly, and excited to help you learn the ropes. With games running daily across time zones—including times that work well for folks in Australia—you’ll be able to ease in and start having fun in no time. Plus, we offer Play-by-Post and TRP formats if text-based play is more your speed at first.
