I'm a UK-based player looking to get back into some fun and welcoming D&D games (1–2 sessions per week). Unfortunately, I recently had a rough experience with a disruptive player in a couple of campaigns, which really took the joy out of things for me. I still really enjoy the game itself and had great DMs and party members—just one person made it hard to feel welcome or comfortable playing my character the way I wanted.
So, I’m hoping to find a group where I can just enjoy roleplaying without being told I’m doing it “wrong.” I’m open to most types of campaigns—homebrew or official, serious or lighthearted—and I’m happy to fit into whatever the party needs. Just looking for a chill, respectful environment to enjoy the game again.
A few things to note:
I’m in the UK (BST) and available for one or two games a week.
I’m not looking for paid games right now (tight budget).
I use Discord and can do voice/text depending on the group.
DMs are always open—happy to chat more or join a session zero if needed. Thanks for reading!

It sounds like you're exactly the kind of thoughtful, collaborative player we love to welcome into our community—and I’m really sorry to hear about your previous experience. No one should feel unwelcome or second-guessed for how they roleplay. You deserve a space where your creativity is respected, and we strive to be exactly that.
We’re an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly server that offers a Westmarch-style structure, but with a unique twist: instead of a single shared world, each DM runs their own independent homebrew setting. That means a wide range of tones, themes, and story types, and plenty of opportunities to find the right fit.
We run on the 2014 5e ruleset, starting characters at level 3 with a generous 35 Point Buy, and support DnD Beyond (with full content sharing), Google Sheets, and Dicecloud. All our games are free to play, and we have live sessions and Play-by-Post (TRP) options available across a global schedule, so your BST availability is covered easily.
Most importantly, we foster a respectful, supportive environment—you’ll find DMs and players alike who care about storytelling, mutual enjoyment, and making sure everyone at the table feels comfortable and included.
If that sounds like the kind of space you’d like to be part of, check out our listing here. We'd be happy to help you find your stride again.
Hope to see you in the Nexus soon!
