Now that I've got your attention, I'm formally asking you to join my strixhaven campaign! Two of my players had to leave due to many issues and I currently have only two players total. I want my table to have at least 4 and at max, 6. Due to that, I am sending this forum as a request and a plea for you to join the campaign.
What do I offer?
• Magical school shenanigans free of the bigotry of a certain mold-infested hag. • Homebrew rules, items and other things we can decide on. Let's just talk and have me approve it • Friendly conversation and an open-minded space for you to game at.
We play all Sundays at 17:00 (5pm) EST We'll be using the (in)famous Owlbear rodeo as a VTT and we can use character sheets of all sources possible (although if you happen to have books here, I'd love it if you could lend em to me for a proper in-site campaign for character sheets, rolls and whatnot!) We'll be using Discord for voice-chat and other text-related shenanigans.
Finally, more specific rules for my table and all are already up on the discord, so you shall see them once you arrive in there! Thank you. If interested in joining, please respond to this thread with the following format:
Name/Nickname: Pronouns: Age: Experience playing D&D: Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): Character concept:
Name/Nickname: Victor/The highgrounder Pronouns: He/Him Age: 21 Experience playing D&D: Moderate Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: Just having fun Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): Exploration, Roleplay Character concept: A tiefling monk, born and raised in a desert city now seeking to avenge his brother's death.
Name/Nickname: Mihile/Mih Pronouns: He/They Age: 21 Experience playing D&D: I’ve been playing D&D for about 2-3 years so far, so I’d say moderate as well. Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: Enjoying the story and hopefully building some friendships. Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): Roleplay, Combat. Character concept: I have a few depending on what the party needs or already has! :) I tend to gravitate towards spellcasters. An elven prince who was born with "prophetic" powers (in truth being Divination Magic) and burdened with the expectations of his family and entire city. Or a witch-like half-fae creature who was born blind (could work on some Tremorsense or Blindnsense haha), leading to half-baked magic and a strict upbringing, on a mission to prove themselves and earn the role of leader of the coven. And more!
Name/Nickname: Snowball Pronouns: He/Him Age:18 Experience playing D&D: 4 years of mainly DND 5e with some random experiences with other ttrpgs Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign:As said in post shenanigans in a magic school setting as I have not done anything like that in my 4 years playing DND 5e Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions):I love Role play as dnd is a role playing game and having my actions(or the lack therefore) affect the story and I also like combat it is fun and for exploration I find it to be my least favorite part of DND I what to be doing stuff not traveling or trying to find something but don't mind it from time to time Character concept:Honesly I have so many I don't know lol and I like to play something the party needs but I have a preference for martial characters as I find them very fun and barbarian is my favorite but I don't mind playing spellcasters
And if there is still space or what more info my discord @ is descent_snowball
Name/Nickname: Strawbrerry Pronouns: He/Him Age: 35 Experience playing D&D: I've been playing for about 5 years, both as a player and have DM'd a bit as well. Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: The chance to experience such a cool setting and all the imaginable arcane fun to be had. Harry Potter-like DnD fun! Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): I enjoy combat but love to see how you can work with others using abilities, spells, items, and more to find a clever solution to an obstacle or scenario. Exploration and RP are equally as fun too. Character concept: I can flex and pay a few characters I have a skeleton structure for. I probably enjoy playing casters more than martial characters but would play something that would round the team out. Clerics are fun with so many options of subclasses as would a sorcerer trying to figure out how they have gained access to their magical abilites.
experience: forever dm for 6 years looking for a fun game to play
favorite aspect: rp and exploration
character concept: a Tabaixi bard names madam lavish ravish who travels the world strumming and singing long and wide to become one of the most well known bards in all the lands. shes witty and funny and inspires with poems and words of wisdom.
Name/Nickname: Brithan Pronouns: He/him Age: Mid 30s Experience playing D&D: I've been playing and Dming weekly since 2020 Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: Strixhaven is such a cool setting. Having a school for magic and exploring a different approach to the game sounds fun and exciting. Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): I love a great mix of rp and combat. Creating fun moments with friends. Character concept: I have an eladrin bladesinger wizard who is part of the prismari college already put together.. Extravagant elementalism. But I'm also happy to play a character that is a fill. I love to play all classes and archetypes.
I also have most of the books and a master tier on dnd beyond.
Name/Nickname: Vali Pronouns: He/him Age: 30 Experience playing D&D: about 3 years now Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: To be able to have a school life in dnd. i am picturing some funny hijinx and plenty of magic pranks. Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): Mostly the roleplay. it is just more enjoyable. Character concept: Human celestial warlock who mainly uses his spear. He made a deal with a celestial in order to get power to protect his home town. learned about the school and was sent there to learn more about magic and become stronger. very friendly and kinda punk coded.
Name/Nickname: Caru Pronouns: She/Her Age: 25 Experience playing D&D: 3 years Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: To live out my school life! ( and actually enjoy it ) Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): roleplay!!!!! Character concept: Sorcerer who's slightly arrogant but isn't all too bad when you get to know him
Experience playing D&D: I' ve been playing for about 3year and recently stated dming so i'm very familiar with 5e and like every one else i listen to actual plays Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: since it's a college setting hope for a lot of dump young people shenanigans and as always useless drama between young adults Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): love the roleplay in general but also love the interaction of mechaniques and charactere creation
Character concept: human fighter from a military family decided to go to strixhaven instead of the usual family path now he's learning about magic and meeting new people
I´d also like to know if you´re still accepting players. I´ve been dying to find a Strixhaven campaign
if you are, here are the answers you requested:
Name/Nickname: Blitz Pronouns: He/Him Age: 22 Experience playing D&D: 3 years playing Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: To have fun, enjoy a nice magical (literally) college life, and potentially get in trouble for late night partying Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): Combat is my favorite, but i also enjoy some good RP and exploration. Doesn´t mean i will actively seek trouble though. Character concept: Tiefling spellcaster that uses ranged weapons (spell archer, gun mage). Most likely a warlock. Chill and easy going. Will help you out on whatever, as long as the result is fun.
Name/Nickname: London or Swivet, which ever you'd rather use. Pronouns: He/Him Age: 16
Please do not deny me just for my age, I can assure you that it won't cause any problems for the flow of the campaign or for other players. And despite my age, I still seem to have more dnd experience than most of the other players here.
Experience playing D&D: I have 5 years of dnd experience, although mostly as a Dm recently for new players, so I'm a little rusty.
Expectations for a Strixhaven campaign: I'm interested in learning your style of Dming as well as developing a new character, and hopefully develop my roleplaying skills a little further.
Favorite aspect of D&D (Exploration, Combat, Roleplay interactions): I'm personally a huge fan of Exploration and puzzle solving, but im also a fan of roleplay, although I don't often get to participate since the people I often dm prefer combat focused campaigns.
Character concept: I would like to play an owlin cleric who chooses other methods to solve problems other than combat, unless someone else started it, then its al fair game. Taking after its parents, my pc worships (we can discuss the god 1 on 1 if you'd like) which is why my pc acts the way it does. Just as a heads up, I still haven't decided on what gender I'd like my pc to be which is why I kept referring to it as pc.
Thank you for reading it all the way through, if you would like to talk to me further to see if im a good fit for the campaign, please message my discord. Discord: Alondis_001
