Game: D&D 5e and 3.5 (maybe other editions in the future, we have some sweet original AD&D books!).
Group type: Face-to-Face
Experience: All levels of players, DMs are all very experienced in running different RPGs
Schedule: There are campaigns on Thursday (3.5), Saturday, and Sunday (both 5e). There are one-shots on Friday and other days, which are usually 5e. A complete schedule is available by request. There’s a whole lot of D&D going on. Currently, we are not involved in Adventurer’s League. We are also open to different D&D editions (if we have them on hand or you can bring them) and do run one-shots of other RPG systems occasionally.
Roles sought: Players. There are a number of campaigns with open spots, and one-shots are open to all. We try to provide a variety or role playing experiences and appeal to all age levels. Please inquire if you’re unsure if a particular session might be appropriate for the player. Some of our campaigns are very heavy in political intrigue or other ‘grown-up’ topics younger players may not be interested in.
Game style: We work very hard to provide a wide variety of gaming experiences. Some campaigns tend toward the traditional hack and slash formula, while others may be very role play heavy. The one-shots vary in content from week to week. We try to utilize different storytelling techniques to suit each play group and have the adventure feel organic. We also love dndbeyond and make as much use of it as we can.
Some of our sessions do require a fee. It’s never more than $5.00 a session. The ‘premium’ sessions are usually the campaigns, and do come with a lot of out-of-game support. Our DMs strive to provide original play and create interesting stories for the players. There may be handouts, displays, or digital materials provided. We try to be future forward, not only by using dndbeyond, but also with Discord and Dropbox. We love to save paper!
If you have any questions, please reply in the thread!
I know this is an old thread, but found it by searching for 'Hudson Valley'. Curious if any games are looking for players? I DM for some friends, but would love to have a regular game to play for a change.
