The end of an Era, the jagged summit of a golden age has dawned and come to its great climax. Years of peaceful prosperity has led to a steady lull that has given the world a sense of security, the beasts and atrocities that plagued the lands have been slain, the dungeons and quests cleared. It was peaceful, serene, and horrendously unnatural. No one could deny that, too much order was a poison all its own, leading to the stagnation of progress and heroes alike. For 100 long years of prosperity, Oracles, Far Seers, Sky Readers and all the like swearing that the gods would re-balance the world. Re-tip the scales to balance, forewarning that such and event would be pure chaos, uttering the same almost rehearsed line. "When the scales tip back to the tides of chaos, the world will dip into a a dark age like no other.". If only they knew how right they where.

Having survived the initial events, commonly described as the 'Death Parades", an invasion of horrors and abominations beyond mortal comprehension. A flood of new influences of long hidden deities showering the planes and shaking up the flow of power between gods and devils. Your survival is far from guaranteed, let fear grip your heart and keep you safe as you travel to the nearby town of Lyndell, the thick woods around it stricken with a magical fog, the tree tops meshing together to form a net like structure driving out any real glimpse of sunlight, beasts, abominations, and horrors lurk around every bend in the road and tucked behind trees with leering eyes as they wait for their chance to devour your mind, body, and spirit. Be safe, Be scared, Stay alive against all odds.
