Game style: Vecna adventures (prelude and adventure) with the new dragon adventures for in between for a lv 3-20 game

Hi all!  I’m a pretty laid back dm who has dmed a few times.  Looking to start up a new campaign and doing something I’ve never done before, follow an adventure.  I apparently like stressing myself out by refusing to do things easily and am only just now looking at modules others have made.  I ask for grace and patience as I transfer over to following these adventures as well as try DnDBeyond’s Maps.  I’m used to doing Roll20 but so far Maps seems to be doing good so I’m hopeful ^-^.  I like to have fun with my groups and I love players that enjoy rping.  

As stated above, I will be doing Vecna’s two adventure books but that doesn’t mean you need to know anything about him.  In fact not knowing may make it more fun.  But since the prelude starts at level 3 and then jumps to lv 10 for the next book I decided to do some of the Dragon Delves to help level you guys up to Lv 10 where we will then take it all the way to 20!  Now I’ll ask for some patience and scheduling may differ during these sessions depending on what I may need to do to help transition the campaign.  Or we may just let it be willy nilly, all based on the discussions with us all players and dm alike. 

I will try to keep the campaign consistent but we all know life happens and I’m patient.  Just let us know if something comes up and if possible keep last minute ‘not showing’ to a minimal.  Not showing up the day of can put the players (and me) in a bind so please try not to.  I find letting us know the week before has never been an issue with most people, or at least letting us know by Monday.

I believe in table health so please do not do things that would upset other players on purpose (especially often) even if your ‘character’ would do it.  It’s all fun and games until it isn’t.  Note this doesn’t happen often but it’s something I just point out.  You can joke around, you can prank, but when a player expresses their upset then think about what you are doing.  That’s all I ask.  If it is something that bothers the table, it will be something we will discuss before moving forward.  

I love out of the box problem solving and I am pretty open to conversations both about your character as well as world building.  I do believe that Dnd is a co-operative story writing game and have fun playing around with ideas with my players.  With that being said, any experienced players, if you have done ‘Vecna:Nest of the Eldritch or Vecne:Eve of ruin’ please don’t spoil.  In all honesty I hope that if you have played them then let someone who hasn’t had a chance.  But that’s just my thought and I’m not fully attached to it haha.  

We will be doing voice chat through discord and I do think we should do a session zero before starting so you guys can chat and figure out what kind of characters you guys would like to make as a team.

I would love to join your game I have been playing since the 90’s. I’m an easy going laid back guy. I know how to have a good time with any type of group. I love interacting with new and interesting people. I understand that no two players are usually alike and most importantly do not take things to serious. This is my first time playing online. But I’m a fast learner and will be sure I have all the mechanics worked out before we actually started.
