WOW guys! I've had 14 applications in a matter of a day!

I'm closing the applications for now.  I need to talk to the folks who have already applied and make our decision as we're planning on starting on Monday.  I've been impressed with the quality of people thus far too!

18+ only.

Female friendly group.  We are happily married men, so the creeper element shouldn't be present. 😀 

We are starting at level 5, with starting gear + 1,000gp + 1 uncommon magical item. Can purchase single use uncommon items at 200gp each. Also get one slightly magical trinket.

Game: D&D 5e
Group type: Online (Fantasy Grounds)
Experience of GM: veteran
Experience Required: any, so long as you're willing to RP.
Location/Timezone: DFW, Central Timezone
Schedule: Every Monday 7-10pm, sometimes Thursday as an alternate if a Monday doesn't work for folks.
Roles we have:
 - Ranger
 - Barbarian
 - Blaster-caster of some sort
Roles we need:
 - Healer
 - Face / anything else

Game style: 

• Collaborative storytelling.
• Rule of Cool (in moderation).
• Medium to Heavy RP.
• Liberally slathered with (virtual) miniature combat. I run with a soundtrack in the background based on various moods
• I voice all the NPCs differently (as I'm able).
• Plenty of OOC humor, but we stay focused most of the time.
• We don't min-max characters, but focus on characters, character development, and what would be consistent with who they are.

TL;DR The easiest way to explain how I run my games is to say Critical Role. I don't claim to be as good, just saying the mix of RP to combat. 

Some Hombebrew rules in no particular order

• Healing spirit follows Jeremy Crawford's alternate rule: it can heal a number of timed twice your casting modifier. (shenanigan preventer)
• Stats are rolled in GM presence: two full 4d6 stat rolls, then pick between either set or point buy, your choice. You are able to lower rolled stats as you desire (for story)
• HP are rolled, 1's become 2's
• [Things] of Warning are permitted but they only:
  • Give advantage on initiative
  • Prevent you (and only you) from being surprised

 Ha!  Well, I figured if anecdotal stories I've heard are at all a common thing, I'd better speak against it.  Let folks know it wouldn't be cool at my (virtual) table.
