Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online [Discord for VC | Dicecloud/D&DBeyond/Other for Character Sheets | Second Life for VTT] Experience: Ranges from somewhat experienced to very experienced Location/Timezone: Primarily EU (with a few from the US) Schedule: TBD — most days work for us except Mondays Roles sought: Dungeon Master Game style: We’re looking for a classic D&D experience — whether that’s an official module, homebrew, or a mix of both. Ideally a long-running campaign with a balance of story-driven roleplay and engaging combat.
18+ only — minors need not apply.
We’re a small, close-knit group of friends who love D&D. There are about nine of us in total, though we wouldn’t all be playing at once (trying to schedule that would be impossible). We’ve run a few one-shots already, but we’re missing one key ingredient: a dedicated DM who has stories to tell.
We’re a lighthearted bunch who enjoy roleplay, banter, and having fun, but we also take the game and the story seriously when it matters.
One thing that makes us a bit different is our virtual tabletop setup. Instead of using something like Roll20, we meet in Second Life, where we gather in a cozy virtual living room around a gaming table. For combat, we’ve even built our own “Holodeck” — a custom space where we can run battles as if we’re really in them. You don’t need any prior experience with Second Life — we’ll happily help you get set up and show you how it works.
Who we’re looking for: We welcome any kind of DM, from complete beginners to seasoned veterans. If you’ve never run a game before but have ideas for a story you’d love to tell, we’d be a great group to cut your teeth on. We’re patient, supportive, and willing to help where needed. All we ask is that you bring a good attitude, a sense of fun, and a willingness to improve and give it a try.
It’s also completely fine if you don’t have a grand story planned out. If you’d rather create a sandbox for us to explore and let the story emerge from our characters’ choices, we’re all for that. A mix of both approaches works too. We’re happy to accommodate your style and work with you to make the game enjoyable for everyone.
If you’re interested, please send me a DM so we can chat more.
A little about me personally: I love everything about the GM process except actually running the game. I’m much happier as a player, but I’m more than willing to help a DM behind the scenes. I’m a technical-minded person and have already built custom tools, maps, and models for our group to use in Second Life — all with the goal of making the game more immersive and making the DM’s job easier. For example, I’ve built our Holodeck system and custom tokens, scripted features for smoother play, and even created maps in Dungeondraft that we’ve turned into 3D environments for our sessions.
So if you’re a DM who wants to focus on telling the story without having to handle all the technical extras, I’d be happy to support you every step of the way.
We currently have three players ready to go, with one or two more who may join depending on your preference for group size. If you have any questions, feel free to message me directly or reply here.
I can be found on Discord by the username Norway174. Make sure you let me know it's related to DND. Or you might get ignored, due Discord's increasing number of spam bots.
