Game: D&D 5e 2024 Group type: Online (DnDBeyond VTT, and Discord Video Chat) Experience: I have DMing experience including running (and completing!) Curse of Strahd. Many years of experience as a player. Location/Timezone: GMT Schedule: Every Monday from 7:30pm - 10:30 pm GMT. Session 1 on August 25th Roles sought: 3-4 Players Game style: Roleplay-heavy folk horror campaign.
The Crooked Moon is a 3rd-party folk horror campaign that will run from level 1 to 14. “In this adventure, characters find themselves in possession of a ticket to ride the Ghostlight Express, a spectral train that ferries souls to the afterlife. This trip through the mists of death leaves them stranded in the mysterious valley of Wickermoor Hollow, where isolated peoples are terrorized by the many creatures of a night that never ends.”
Please do not join with your heart already set on a specific character concept. This campaign has a unique setting and some great tools to generate characters that will be deeply connected to the story. The group will be collaborating with each other and the DM to create their characters. Bring your ideas, but be open to workshopping them!

Name/Username: Marvelite Discord Name: marvelitecosplay Age: 22 TimeZone: GMT+3 Are you available on Mondays at 7:30-10:30pm GMT: Yes! Are you comfortable playing over video call: Also yes! What is your experience with DnD: I've been playing for a little over a year across multiple campaigns and one-shots with beginners and experts alike. My experience with drama enthusiasts have trained me to become a very heavy RP player and be very comfortable having those deep emotional moments with strangers! What are you looking for in a campaign: I'm looking forward to playing someone that will connect with the other players and DM well, I want to develop my character alongside everyone and have them go through complex emotions and beautiful interpersonal relationships. Though I do enjoy a fair amount of silly, light-hearted moments -- my playstyle compliments a more serious campaign more! But I will always adapt to a table and do what I can make the magic alive!

Are you comfortable playing over video call: yes! What is your experience with DnD: Roughly five years of DnD as a player. Two finished long-term campaigns, a couple of one shots and one campaign that is currently on its last legs. So looking for more! What are you looking for in a campaign: I like a campaign that has a nice balance of rp and combat where the emphasis lies in players playing out their characters as who they are and not what the combat meta dictates. Building and interacting with characters that have their strengths and weaknesses that need each other to overcome is what drives me towards DnD.
I've played sporadically over the years so I know the deal it has been a minute tho so I'd need some help with the stats part of character creation if possible. I'm also totally okay with making a campaign specific character and fill any gaps the group might have.
I always love a little more roleplay than action but I'm definitely not against it at all. I just want to flesh out my character and help the group do the same and hopefully have a good time and make an awesome story together.

Name/Username: ClaptnT Discord Name: claptn_t Age: 29 TimeZone: CE(S)T Are you available on Mondays at 7:30-10:30pm GMT: Yes, fits well. Are you comfortable playing over video call: Yes. What is your experience with DnD: Played over 100 sessions in 4 years plus endless hours discussing game setup, balance, narrative. Completed a lvl 20 campaign as a player. Now 25 sessions into DMing DSotDQ with a lot of homebrew. Playing with a diverse group of optimisers / narrative focus players, always fun to balance the two. What are you looking for in a campaign: Fun! Most important is to empower each other to have fun together. Takes good communication. I personally enjoy engaging character development and interesting settings/combats that encourage creative problem solving and teamwork. Prefer setups where characters have strong bonds and the party's commitment to each other isn't (often) in question. So long as characters are reasonably equally useful and the players/DM have fun running the game I enjoy optimising characters (together), always tied into strong narrative.
