Hello there future Dungeon Master! Would you like to start being a Dungeon master but you don't know how to, or perhaps feel intimidated? I would like to offer a basic start to get you to actually host a game! In this information session we are going to talk about what the basics are of being a Dungeon Master. During the second part of the session we are going to create a one-shot together and dive into what you need to do, in order to run a published adventure.
I will host the session on my Discord server, microphone is a pre and webcam is optional.
In roughly 3-4 hours, we are going to look at: - different ways to play - what do you need - published & homebrew - adventure design - how to combat (prep and running) - how to roleplay - how to exploration - tools - experience, style and specialties - communication - tips and tricks
In the second active part of the session: - collaborative create a one-shot - take a dive how to prep a written adventure
Finally at the end I am going to share a couple of tricks and tips, answer questions and if you want feedback.
