Hello everyone, I return with another game to offer. I'll start by saying, the game won't be happening for another month or two, at which point I'll make another post if I don't get all the players from this post. In other words, this post is to get lots of time to choose the right players. With that, I have about 3 spots open, so I very well might need to tell some people they can't join after we've already talked about the game, but I will be certain I give everyone proper warning. No ghosting and telling you a month later you aren't in. Finally, games will likely take place Early or late Sunday NA time, but I've still got to iron out some kinks in my schedule. Basically, my times might open, but you should only join if Sundays work for you.
Now, I welcome you all to Abadons Folly.
Setting:
Eer'hwol is a world ravaged by the divine and calamities brought about by I inhabitants. You were one of them until recently. Whether intentionally or by a cogurative mishap, you have found yourself in Abadons Folly, an island prison in a demi plane created by the god of death to keep Aerepheth the Calamity from interfering with the mortal world. In other words, a calamity contained. You've heard of this place, likely been told that the Eternal King rules his kingdom of death with tyranny as he once did the world whole.
But as you awake in an unfamiliar place, you are met with a world of strife, but apparently freedom. People mil about as though their lands were the same as where you just left. Abadons Folly is rife with political unrest, populace tension, and the armies of Aerepheth acting in abnormal ways.
Free the innocent inhabitants, escape to your old life, or lead a new kingdom against the once ruler of all that was.
In Abadon's Folly, undead will be rife and barely distinguishable from fiend in a nearly entirely homebrewed world. Gain leadership over towns, take hold of houses and forts for your own purposes, and be the unique character you've always wanted to play.
What you should know about me:
My name is Cani, and I'm a dm with a short few years of experience. I place a high emphasis on player agency, story telling, role playing, the rule of cool. In my games, homebrew will be in nearly every encounter and rules are only used if they keep the game rolling. In other words, we follow the rules until something cooler comes up.
If a backstory is provided (which I do require in some manner) it will be in some way tied either to the events of the story, or the plot as it unfolds. Do know this campaign will take place in an established world seperate from the world you will be a part of. Think a Faerûn game that takes place in the Feywilds. So backstory elements will be mostly topical rather than physical.
I am a digital dm who runs in NA timezones, and as such expect players to have availability (in relation to timezones) similar to mine. Players from across the ocean are welcome, but I would expect some level of schedule overlap to allow for planning and rescheduling.
I am a young adult, and as such expect maturity in my players. Jokes are welcome, but should never derail a session too aggressively. I also do accommodate for suggestive or offensive themes, but as a disclaimer, topics of gore, rascial tension and prejudice. I tend to shy away from overt sensuality and sadism, but they can be present if done respectfully.
Finally, I'm working pretty tight hours right now but that might change by the time the game runs. As such, I may be a bit late to response times, but I will do my best to not keep you waiting.
What you need to know about the game:
Most dnd races are on the table except for High elves (lore reasons) and humans (Who I have homebrewed to be more unique). Races from the more involved settings like Eberon or Spelljammer will probably need special consideration.
Additionally, Homebrew that I haven't made is technically allowed, but I ask that you only use it if you really want to as I prefer to avoid it. The same thing with UA.
My games are played in 5e 2014, and you will need roll20 in order to play. I will have a dnd beyond available, but it isn't required. Though it is appreciated. I am more than willing to jerryrig a class and race if you don't have access to it.
If you're interested in joining, you can add me on discord @ canimanamino#6850. Again, this is for a game sometime in a short few months, so don't expect to play anytime soon. I will be significantly faster at responding to discord messages, but I will attempt to be timely for all comments here as well. Best wishes and see you at the table!
While I don't strictly have an age limit, I do prefer players who can enjoy mature themes, and stay mature throughout the campaign. 14 and under might be a hard sell.
For a noob joining, it would depend. I would prefer experience, but more than anything I'd need to know that you're willing to put yourself out there. Role play can be difficult for new comers, and it would be a pretty heavy aspect to my game. Additionally, with the significant amount of homebrew, it might be very confusing or difficult to grasp. Nothing against you or noobs at all, my rules are just more tailor made for players who know what they want in a game.
Also, if you're looking for a game, I highly recommend sticking with the forum since my game will take quite some time to start up, and being new means you should chase the game wherever you can. It's a great game
Ah kk!! Im 13 lol I think I could would of but thats up to youre judgment (BTW I'm new 💔 srry I didn't mention that) oh and here's by discord Lil_b00_911
I'm sorry, but you probably wouldn't fit. I do feel bad, because I remember how hard it was to find games before I turned 18, but I do wish you the best of luck out there. Keep your ear to the forums, I'm sure one will pop up eventually.

I would play!! But it depends on the age limit!

Open to a noob joining to learn?
