[LFP][Tuesdays 7–10pm EST][18+] Long‑Term Homebrew 5e (2014/2024 mix) – Level 5, aiming for 20
Hello! We’re a friendly, long‑standing group (3 years together) looking to add one more committed player to our table. We are currently three members seeking a fourth; a fifth long‑time member will be rejoining soon after a leave. We’re not selecting on a first‑come basis—our priority is finding a good fit for the group’s vibe and the campaign’s tone.
Schedule and format - Weekly on Tuesdays, 7:00–10:00 pm Eastern - Must be 18+ and able to attend regularly; we’re semi‑casual and understand that work or life occasionally interferes, but we strive for consistency and clear communication
System and campaign - D&D 5e using a 2014/2024 mixed ruleset (select 2024 updates alongside 2014 core) - Homebrew campaign in a homebrew setting - Current party level: 5; planned campaign end: level 20 (multi‑year goal) - Lower‑paced milestone advancement with opportunities to learn feats, proficiencies, etc. through play
Setting snapshot Five years ago, a band of heroes sealed the Abyssal gates, locking fiends away, and exposed a traitor in the heavens who aided the onslaught against mortal and divine planes. Your future party is now exploring a recovering world, finding its footing as new heroes and making a name for itself. We’re still early in the story: some personal arcs are unfolding, but the main plot has yet to be revealed—new players won’t be left behind.
What we value - A collaborative, respectful table with good communication - Players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, and tactical moments in a measured, story‑first pace - Reliability and enthusiasm for a long‑term game
How to apply (not first‑come; we will review applications and may reach out for a brief chat) Please reply here (or DM if preferred) with: - Age confirmation (18+) and your time zone - Confirmation you can make Tuesdays 7–10 pm EST consistently - A short intro about you and your playstyle (what you enjoy at the table) - Your experience with 5e and comfort with homebrew and a 2014/2024 mixed ruleset - Anything you need from a group/DM to have fun
We’re excited to meet someone who meshes well with our group’s energy and wants to invest in a long, character‑driven campaign. Thanks for reading!
I'm 20 years old and living within the Pacific Standard Timezone. Session times are relatively easy for me to make. About me, I like to think of myself as somebody who's relatively chill and gets along with most folks well and if there is something bothering me I do like trying to communicate through issues. For some of my hobbies, I love music and I love gaming (MMORPG's in specific especially World of Warcraft and sometimes FFXIV or SWTOR). I've been playing and DMing for about 2 years now and I'm very comfortable in a homebrew setting with a mixed ruleset from both editions. As far as things I need from a group to have fun? Just a table of folks that like to get into it both from a roleplay standpoint and from a gameplay standpoint. Always excited to talk about new releases that appear on DnDbeyond and see what others think.
Hi I would be interested in joining I'm 26 in the EST. I've been playing since I was 13 (7 years player/6 years DM). I normally play martial or half casters but I've played every class at least twice I like making characters who kinda stumble into adventures without seeking it directly for example a woodsman who while hunting accidentally steps into a mushroom circle and ends up in the fey realms. If I sound like a good fit for you my discord is Darksteelforge, hopefully I'll hear from you 😁
Hello, Your story and setup sound great. I do wonder what you are using regarding character sheets and VTT (If any)
- Age confirmation : I will be 59, and my time zone is CST US
- Confirmation you can make Tuesdays 7–10 pm EST consistently: Absolutely. I am very reliable, unless an emergency occurs.
- A short intro about you and your playstyle (what you enjoy at the table): I am a veteran player and DM. I have played for 40+ years across every edition since AD&D. I am old school in that I tend to play more traditional high fantasy to low fantasy, regardless of the magic level. I prefer to play in a heroic campaign. I am OK with anti-heroes within reason , but do not enjoy evil parties or constant party conflict. I tend to play support characters. I do not tend to play super optimized PCs. I come up with a character concept and use the books to try to make it.
- Your experience with 5e and comfort with homebrew and a 2014/2024 mixed ruleset: I have run and played both editions. I like both of them. My only issue is that I have seen problems if the group is trying to fully use both systems at the same time without an attempt to somehow integrate them to prevent conflicts.
- Anything you need from a group/DM to have fun : Mutual respect, open communication, consistency in play, and civility.
Hi! I'd love to join this game if you'll give me the opportunity!
21m
EST time zone
I shouldn't have a problem attending regularly apart from holidays and in the extreme case of an assignment deadline coming out of nowhere
I'm still relatively inexperienced only playing consistently for about 3 months last year before some personal stuff came up, but I've been devouring DnD content for a while now so I know most of the important info. I'm usually more gung ho about puzzles and combat, I like roleplay as well but I tend to be a bit awkward over voice at first. My main experience has been playing as a bard and an artificer in two separate campaigns but recently I've been interested in playing a druid! I make an effort to not start fights, I don't really care about anyone's personal life or info honestly I'm just here to play the game, but I'll happily talk about random stuff outside the game! As for 5e and 5.5e I have experience in both and like them both! With Homebrew I definitely like it as the campaign I was a part of last year was fully homebrew and it was great! When it comes to the dm and players as long as all of you are chill and just enjoy joking around and enjoying the game I really don't need much else! If you have any questions about me or my character btw ask away I'm happy to share!
Hey i would to join if possible. Been a forever dm for many years in the past and would like to join and play as a player, I am respectful and good with time keeping. Not really good at selling myself so will keep it brief.
Discord add is urbandemose.
Hope to hear from you soon :).
