Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New (Read source books and made characters for fun but haven't been able to find a group to play) Location/Timezone: EST USA Availability: 24/7 Blind with no job please give me something to do Preferred role: Player (happy to play support/healer roles btw) Game style: High fantasy, hoping for a good mix of combat and RP so I can get a feel for everything. Prefer PG-13 rated games no super serious topics, just want to have fun.
I am considered "Low Vision". Functionally blind but it's not total darkness just heavily distorted. This means reading things just takes me an extra minute and I have to use a lot of magnifiers. If you don't mind being patient and helping a new player who is very passionate about the game please consider me for your group. I will be eternally grateful!
Hey Gibbs! It sounds like you’d fit right in with our community. We’re an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly Westmarch-style group, where each DM runs their own world—so there’s always a variety of high fantasy adventures to explore.
Our characters start at level 3 with a generous 35 Point Buy, and you can make and play multiple ones. We use the 2014 5e ruleset with all official content shared through DnD Beyond campaign links, which makes character management a lot easier for players.
Since we’re a global community with sessions every day, plus Play by Post and text roleplay options, you’ll always find something to join no matter the time. We’re also newbie-friendly and supportive, and patient with different needs—so whether you’re getting familiar with the mechanics, trying out support roles, or just wanting a fun PG-13 style game, you’ll have people ready to help you ease in.
A few disclaimers which might be important for you: - Since we do use discord some reading will be necessary, though we do have TTS bot and most sessions happen via voice, where it shouldn't be too much of an issue. - We use Avrae (bot) for rolls and checks etc, so there is a need to type some commands during gameplay on your side.
Otherwise i can't presently think of any other issues that would prevent you from playing directly.
