Hi, I’m Tony. I need some more tabletop in my life, so I’m going to run an improvised campaign. I won’t be doing a ton of prep for this—I just want to play some theatre of the mind and practice DMing while I work on my other passions in my spare time.
The Premise
It’s finally here: the week of the Solstice Ritual. Every six years, magic folk compete for a year-long pass to the Library of Axyx and a single request granted by the Grand Vyzard.
With the only real risk of death being to those who make it through the group stages, the event attracts riffraff from across the counties. It’s not uncommon to see even the non-magical entering. Many come just to hawk their wares in the great flea market that springs up outside the grounds.
This year was going to be yours. Your time. You came prepared, dressed to the nines—and what do you have to show for it when life goes to hell like it always does?
Player Guidelines
You don’t have to be magical—just have a reason, excuse, or ruse for entering the group pools. Real scrutiny only comes after the early stages, so if your ultimate goal isn’t to win, your cover story doesn’t need to be convincing.
Players must be 20 or older.
I like to keep games PG-13, but it’s a grown-up table—responsible crassness welcome.
System: Mostly D&D 5E with some mechanics borrowed from Genesys (Fantasy Flight Games).
No experience with either system required—just know how to roleplay.
Schedule & Setup
Game Time: Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. (weekly)
Session 0: Saturday the 27th at 12:30/1:00 p.m.
Tools:
Discord for voice and/or video (video optional).
Roll20 for maps (with dice bots also available in Discord).
How to Join
If you’re interested, reply below or send me a private message. Tell me a bit about yourself, what kind of character you’d like to play, and share what music you enjoy so I can make wild assumptions about you based on your taste.
For context, my favorite bands are The Blood Brothers and Genesis.

Hi! I'm Tony!
I’ve been roleplaying for nearly 20 years and DMing for 6+, running 10+ full campaigns to completion, including a 5‑year epic.
I got my start in play‑by‑post forums and IRC games, where I fell in love with story‑driven, collaborative TTRPGs.
