For me, the best campaigns happen when everyone feels comfortable, supported, and connected — like a little found family. I’d love to find a group that enjoys hanging out, laughing, and getting deeply immersed in storytelling together.

🧭 About Me

Experience:
I’ve been into D&D (mostly 5e) for a few years now, mostly as a fan before becoming a player. I’ve followed shows like Critical Role, Dimension 20, and Vampire: The Masquerade – LA by Night.
I’ve been in a few campaigns that unfortunately ended due to scheduling conflicts or group dynamics, but I’m really hoping to find that right fit — a group I can play with for years to come!

Playstyle:
I’m all about roleplay, character growth, and a good balance of combat and narrative. I’m not into min-maxing — I just want to have fun, tell great stories, and make meaningful memories.
I also love when campaigns explore both the main plot and character backstories as the story unfolds. Think Critical Role-style immersion — that’s the vibe I love (even if I’m not a voice actor, I try my best!). I love campaigns that feel immersive and cinematic, where we can laugh and have fun but still stay in character during serious or emotional scenes. Basically, a group where we can joke and bond, but also give space for the roleplay to shine.
I’ve got a Fifine AM8 mic for crystal-clear audio and prefer Discord voice chat, and yes — I love rolling my actual dice!

Schedule:
I’m on PST and available after 5 PM on most days. Weekly sessions are more for me, and I can adjust a bit for other time zones as long as we’re playing after 5 PM PST.

Character Preferences:
Totally flexible! I like building characters that fit naturally into the party and world. I enjoy emotional arcs, found family dynamics, and even a little in-game romance when it fits the story.

My name’s Janessa (or Nessa) — I’m 19, female, and a lesbian. If that’s not something you’re cool with just keep scrolling, I can already tell we wont be good friends.
I’m half Japanese, a quarter Black, and a quarter Mexican. I do have social anxiety, so I might be a little quiet at first, but once the vibe feels right, I open up quickly. I love playing video games like Valorant, Minecraft, and some single player story games. I've been a big fan of critical role since covid but had stopped watching for a bit and then got back into watching them when campaign 3 came out. Now I'm trying to finish campaign 2 and already in love with campaign 4. I love to read when i can — my favorite book is The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

A homebrew campaign with strong story and character focus — not just plot-driven or character-driven, but both.
A group that’s kind, creative, and consistent. Ideally, I’d love if there’s at least one other woman in the group, too.

Likewise searching for a group as well under similar criteria - was thinking more along the lines of being a player, but I've also got experience DMing and have a few homebrew ideas that I'd be willing to try out if y'all are interested.

I'll just go ahead and share the ideas I've got so folks can get a better idea of what they may be signing up for.

First one involves an extraplanar dungeon which spawns creatures entirely unique to it, drawing interest from an organization called the Academy of Arcanibiology who is willing to pay top dollar for adventurers to go in and document their findings.

Second one involves a world in which the entire planet is covered by one massive ocean and the various islands that dot it are home to their own gods who shape the lives of their inhabitants in a decidedly more direct fashion than usual.

Also had some looser ideas for an anthology series in which different parties would go up against a lot of different BBEGs at varying levels of power, and I could also bring back an older idea I had about a world in which dragons rule directly over their own nations and stuff, inspired by a lot of the lore and mechanical touches that came with Fizban's.
