Magic is dying. War looms. You’re a prisoner caught between rival nations. Your choices may rewrite the fate of a world still haunted by ruin.
During the Last Great War between the Human nation of Juthain and the Elven nation of Acari, a cataclysmic event so large that it disrupted the natural flow of mana itself has completely caused the Elves to go extinct and countless casualties to surrounding nations. The former Elven nation of Acari has completely separated from the rest of the connected continent and to drift apart.
400 years have passed since then. Magic is so scarce that magic users are almost nonexistant. Any being found to be able to use any sort of magic is immediately conscripted into the military of what ever nation they belong to if discovered. The technology of this era is similar to a sort of steampunk equivalent, with mana shards powering many new inventions and forms of travel. Because of the value of these mana shards, many wars have been waged over them and mines where they have been found. Prisoners of war are often sent to the Wastelands where the Last Great War occurred. Due to the wild mana fluctuations in the Wastelands, it is nearly impossible to travel there and back alive. Massive storms occur frequently, crystal infested monsters are seen roaming and hunting for prey, and normal resources are scarce. Survivability is low, but prisoners of war are sent there anyways to try to bring back valuable materials.
Here is where you, the player, begin your story. You have been caught in the middle of a war between the nations of Juthain and Eshen, and are being held captive and disarmed. Everything previously mentioned is common knowledge to your character, as well as knowledge that Juthian is primarily a Human nation and Eshen is mixed. Fate may be cruel and life can be unforgiving, but this is where you start your story. Will you somehow escape your situation? Will you solve the mystery of the Elven Extinction event? Will you try to carve out a name for yourself in history? Only you are the author of your character's story. How it ends is up to you and who you trust.
About The Game
From what you may have been able to discern from the description, this is a somewhat low-magic setting but spell caster players are still welcome to join! The campaign is a nice mixture of both RP and combat, and I love integrating your character background stories into the campaign! I have 2 other groups also currently playing through this campaign and looking to start another. We currently have 2 out of 4 players that are needed, but if you have a group of friends wanting to play I would also accept 4 more for a total of 6 maximum.
Sessions run about 3-4 hours long, but usually end at the 3 hour mark or when the group gets to a good stopping point in the story. Players of any experience, new or veteran, are welcome! If you are new to D&D, I will happily teach you as we experience this campaign journey together!
About Me
Hey, my name is I_Tea_Guy, but you can call me Dylan like the rest of my friends and players. Although I live in Japan, I'm originally from the USA. I'm 34, go by He/Him pronouns, and have a strong passion for writing, storytelling, and role-play. I have been playing D&D, as well as other TTRPG's, for several years and love being able to weave an epic tale with my friends and other players. I get the most enjoyment out of D&D when my players are immersed and having a blast.
In my campaigns, I love making fun and interesting NPC's with their own stories to be told, and often times their own unique voices. I make great efforts to make sure my players feel immersed, while also in a safe group so they can freely express their character and attempt to use voices for them if they wish.

Feel free to shoot me a DM, along with any questions you may have, and I would be happy to have you join us on this awesome adventure!
