Hello Everyone! I'm looking to run a oneshot PVP battle composed of 4 teams of either 2 or 3 players each (depending on the number of applicants) to compete for the ultimate bragging rights. And also for a little bit of fun.
I'm aiming for 10/26 at 8PM CST. We'll be using Discord for voice. We'll be using Roll20 for our VTT and Dndbeyond for character sheets and the campaign link. We'll be using 2014 rules and anything that's been officially published is on the table. As of this initial post, this will be a level 15 battle, and I will determine what kind of items will be available.
The reason for using Roll20 is due to dynamic lighting as that will be a factor in combat. And since this is a one shot, I'm looking for players who are familiar with Roll20 so we don't have to experience the "what do I press again" or "how do I roll for that." I'm also looking for players who are familiar enough with D&D as to not take more than 5 minutes on a turn. With the number of players involved, this oneshot could easily take more than 5 hours, and I don't think many people can devote that much time to a single event.
For fairness, I'll be sticking to RAW for all combat rules. If there's ever a gray area, as always we let the dice decide.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this post, direct message me here or on Discord. somebody3lse
