Good morning, afternoon, evening, or night! My name is John Corinth and I am a DM and administrator to my "The World Raised Anew" Server of Discord. My server has been a tight-knit group and we're starting up some new campaigns, but some of our longstanding members have had to leave due to work complications. The campaigns I'm running run in different schedules and each has its own rules and mechanics, all of which will be explained upon interviewing you, the prospective player. The campaigns are:
Storm King's Thunder (from 1-4 PM EST on Sundays) [this campaign operates biweekly, dates will be posted]. 2 Positions needed.
Eve of Ruin (6-9 PM EST on Sundays) [this campaign operates weekly, dates will be posted]. 1 Position needed.
*These times have been set and attendance is mandatory. If you cannot make the time, tell me a day in advance so I may plan accordingly. **We run in DND 5e 2014, not 2024. All content used comes from Sourcebooks, Adventures, and other materials specific to 2014 edition. ***Homebrewed rules are in effect, with some aligning with mainstream rules while others may clash with them. ****We use DNDBeyond for sheets, Owlbear Rodeo for maps and combat, and online die is a must (to avoid cheaters).
^^These disclaimers are not meant to dissuade you from joining, but to make it a point that I am serious about what is presented.^^
If you, too, are serious and interested in joining, please leave a response with any pertinent information about yourself, what you like to play, and anything else you'd like me to know.
Hey there, I haven't played Storm King's Thunder or Eve of Ruin so I'm interested in trying either of them out! I am also happy to know you're sticking to the 2014 rules. Would love to hear about the homebrewed rules as well :)
As a player, I like to make up a voice for my character and I enjoy roleplaying quite a bit, and I generally try to keep far, far away from metagaming. I enjoy going with the flow of the story and vibing with the other players, giving every person at the table their time to shine when needed. I love teamwork, and I'm good at holding myself accountable with rules and such. I've had a long-standing interest in dnd since I was 19 and I'm 27 now :) I have a few years of experience as a player and about 7 months of experience as a DM. I'm not fluent in running games, I'm definitely still nailing down all the rules and everything, so I like to get lots of experience playing so that I can learn the game better and grow as both a player and watch and learn from other DMs.
I love playing clerics, they're one of my favorite classes. I have a fun idea for a new cleric I'd love to try out, if that would be a class either of your campaigns are looking for. But I'm open to trying something else as well. As a note, the only classes I'm really unfamiliar with are sorcerers and paladins so I would probably not play one of those since it would be a learning curve for me to do so.
Also, my schedule is open and I'm always on time for sessions. 2 1/2 to 3 hour sessions sound really good to me as well, I love playing but I typically don't like sessions to go on for too long. Sometimes if it does go over, I'm all for it if say, important lore or a crazy fight sequence is happening.
