The majority of my days go to listening to dnd podcasts/content and I’ve dmed a handful of games but want some experience as a player. Always been more interested in role play compared to combat but still enjoy both. Would love to finally get to join a game as a player :)
Hey! I’m part of a group called The Age of Dragonstones and we’re always looking for new players! We play Sat and Sun pst, it’s 21+ and we do roleplay and voice acting! If that’s something you’re interested in, just send a request on discord: creative_toad
If you're willing to go for a paid game, check out my games here and/or take a look at my StartPlaying profile here. They are all online games and we use Foundry and Discord to play (using Beyond for content sharing and character creation).
I've got one in-progress Princes of the Apocalypse game at level 7 right now with 1 open player slot, and 2 games currently gathering players to start. You'd be able to come in to Princes hitting the ground running as a mid-level character, and could fill out the group at 6 players. It is also slightly cheaper than my other offerings.
One of the "pending" games is the new starter Heroes of the Borderlands, which should be a good lead-in transition to the new rules for you if you're not familiar and work as a bit or a trial run to see if you like my style of DMing. If you like it and stick around, that timeslot could turn into a longer-form campaign afterwards, depending on group preference. I've already got one player lined up for that one, so once one more signs up we'd be able to start.
The other is Dragon Delves, a nice anthology of shorter adventures that'd last until level 12. They're obviously all dragon-themed, but should offer nice variety from adventure to adventure in the style of play.
You’d fit right in with The Nexus, an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly community with a Westmarch-style setup where each DM runs their own world. It’s perfect for someone looking to focus on roleplay, while still enjoying combat and exploration when it comes up.
We’re a global community with sessions every day, so you can easily find a game that fits your schedule. Our games use D&D 5e (2014 ruleset) and share content via D&D Beyond campaign links, making it simple to join as a player. You can also create multiple characters from level 3 with a generous 35 Point Buy, which is great if you want to experiment with different playstyles. We also offer Play by Post/TRP options if you prefer a slower, story-driven pace.
If this sounds like a good place to finally jump into a game as a player, check us out here.
