I’m looking to join a D&D 5e group — online or in person — that values story, character growth, and good roleplay. I’m fairly new to actually playing, but I’ve been studying the game for a while and I’m ready to dive in. I’m not here to “win” D&D; I’m here to tell a great story together.
Right now I’m building a Celestial Warlock with the Haunted One background, and I’m already sketching out the backstory — something with mystery, redemption, and emotional depth. But I’m very flexible! If the group has a theme or tone in mind, I can easily adapt my concept to fit the world and party dynamic.
What I bring to the table:
🎠Roleplay first. I love getting into character and making every choice mean something.
🧠Collaborative storytelling. I’ll build my backstory to tie into your world and other characters.
🕯️ Reliability. I show up on time, take notes, and care about continuity and immersion.
💬 Respectful energy. I’m here to have fun, make friends, and give everyone spotlight time.
I’d love to join a consistent campaign (weekly or biweekly) with a DM who enjoys narrative arcs and players who like a mix of serious roleplay, humor, and meaningful moments.
If this sounds like your table, please reach out!
Looking forward to meeting new adventurers and finding the right party for this next great story.
Hello! I'm a new DM looking for at least 2 more players for my campaign.
Our Session 0 is staring on Nov 8th 8PM EST with a weekly game every Saturday. so plenty of time to get acquainted still.
We are starting out with just the basics (more to be added later as I grow more comfortable DMing) So just stuff from the 5th Edition 2024 PHB to start with character wise. A quick synopsis of the Campaign
Kael'Thyra is a scarred, ancient world shaped by divine creation and mortal corruption. It is a realm of broken oaths, where the echoes of the gods still hum beneath the earth. The once-prosperous Vhalon Empire rules nearly every landmass, its power built on conquest, slavery, and the spectacle of the Grand Arenas - colossal coliseums that entertain the free while breaking the chained. But, rebellion stirs beneath the sands. In the pits, gladiators whisper forbidden prayers to dead gods and plot to shatter the empire that thrives on their suffering.
We are all players at least 20 Years of age and up.
We use a theatre of the mind play style with a focus on Roleplay. Let me know if you are interested
Hey Stephen — your approach to storytelling and character work sounds like a perfect match for what we do in The Nexus.
We’re an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly global D&D community that runs in a Westmarch-style format, meaning multiple DMs each host their own worlds — so you can find stories and tones that match your Celestial Warlock’s vibe, whether that’s redemption arcs, haunted mysteries, or moral struggles. Sessions are narrative-driven, often focusing on character growth, emotion, and collaboration, just like what you’re describing.
We use D&D Beyond for content sharing, follow the 2014 5e ruleset, and allow multiple characters starting from level 3 with a 35 Point Buy. There’s no level cap, and sessions run daily across all time zones (both live and Play-by-Post formats), so you can always find something that fits your schedule and storytelling style.
If you’re looking for a welcoming, story-rich space where roleplay and depth often take center stage, you’ll fit right in. Check us out here.
I think your Celestial Warlock will find plenty of tales worth telling among our worlds.
Hello, my name is Leland and I am currently running a nautical adventure called Call From the Deep, Sundays 9PM EST. We are just a few sessions in, very friendly group, for two of them this is their first RPG campaign ever and the experienced players are all very welcoming and helpful. Game is still in very early stages, if you would like more information you are welcome to reach out to me on discord at lelandpalmer.
