Game: D&D 5e 2014 or 2024
Group preferred: Online, consisting of 2-4 players, 18 years of age or older
Experience: Playing since 2021, Mostly player experience, limited DM experience
Location/Timezone: North Carolina/Eastern Time 
Availability: After 6:30pm on Monday or Tuesday
Preferred role: Open to either, DM or Player.
Game style: Casual. Beginner friendly. NOT PAID. I believe games should work to develop the players and worlds around them without the nitty-gritty details of mechanics such as encumbrance. The most important factor in a game is group laughter and cohesion. I think a little adventure of up to 6 sessions would be best for me at first with a new group before embarking on a more extensive campaign.

Please be aware, I use profanity and am very OK with adult themes that may be quite disturbing. My only experience comes from D&D with my close friend group. I am 18+ and am unwilling to play with anyone who is not 18 years of age or older. I do not believe in a strict, to-the-letter adherence to 2014 or 2024 rules. I believe in session zeros and re-zeros. The people who I play with need to be able to communicate their own personal boundaries, so that I can understand what can hurt them.

I have a couple of 2014 and 2024 books with little adventures in them that I would like to DM eventually, but I am open to being a player.

I was thinking mostly of trying short adventures. (Though, short adventures can be linked together into a larger narrative.) I most recently purchased Tales from The Yawning Portal and Dragon Delves, so that could be used. Unfortunately, I am not creative enough to do anything made-from-scratch, at this time. Also, please be aware, searching for D&D players outside of my personal friend group is a first for me, so the way that we have played/told stories is probably a lot different from others. I'm less concerned about the type of adventure and more concerned with learning to DM in a way that creates a compelling narrative by facilitating players and their goals.

Thank you for the inquiry. Yes, I was thinking along the lines of published materials (including the ones I have purchased). The ones that I have, I believe, fall into the genre of classic fantasy, like defined here. Classic tales of adventure, exploration and dungeon crawls. Hopefully that answer is helpful to you.
