Hello! My name is Grimbo and I'm looking to run a campaign for 4-5 players interested in a high-seas adventure inspired by classic adventure films such as The Mummy and Disney's Atlantis. I've only been DMing for about 3 years and have only DMed for IRL friends. I'm hoping to branch out and start an online game with some friendly folks who've also been getting the DND itch.
Game: D&D 5e, open to some 2024 additions if players would prefer.
Group type: Online
Experience: New and experienced players welcome.
Location/Timezone: I'm on EST in the US but am open to folks from other timezones and locations.
Schedule: My only available days are Saturdays but my schedule is flexible on those days. Willing to change start-times as needed.
Roles sought: Either 4 or 5 players, 18+ and LGBTQ+ friendly.
Game style: Casual with a focus on striking a good balance between roleplay and combat, though my strengths have always been more geared towards roleplay.
Plot Synopsis: News has traveled fast of the discovery of the Starlit Isle; a tropical island home to deadly plantlife, strange otherworldly creatures, hostile natives and if legends are to be believed, the lost city or Par Elleni- The City of Stars. The lost city is believed to be the ancient home of star-worshiping elves who had at one point unlocked the secret to eternal life. Interested individuals the world over have begun flocking to the island in search of the lost city with their own goals in mind. One such person is famed inventor/explorer Thaddeus Wizzlestein III, who has begun forming an elite crew to venture onto the island and track down the lost city as part of a wager with his long-time rival and swashbuckling femme fatale Luna Delarouge who has formed her own crew for the expedition. Can our heroes track down the city before Luna and her crew? Does the city truly exist? Only time will tell in: Perils of the Starlit Isle!
If you're interested in a more lighthearted swashbuckling adventure and are ok with joining a game run by a somewhat-nervous amateur DM seeking to broaden his horizons a bit, please feel free to shoot me a DM along with your Discord and hopefully we can jump into a great time together!
I love the sound of this, Im a huge "Explorer of yester-year" kind of vibes that those old movies gave off. I'm living in Ireland so I'm on gmt timezone but I dont work weekends so saturday could be very doable for me depending on the time. My discord = Lycanpc
The campaign has enough people to get rolling but there's enough room for 1 or 2 more if interested! I'll be closing applications Tuesday, thank you to everyone who's joined so far!
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: veteran Location/Time zone: USA Central (GMT-5) Availability: 65, retired Preferred role: Player Game style: Like action, but enjoy a good story. Enjoy Role Playing more than Roll playing. Team working to a common goal. Discord: davidg_43602

Thanks to those who've reached out so far. We still have a couple of spots open before we can get rolling if anyone is still interested!
