The world waits — but not for a hero. It waits for you.
Across kingdoms, empires, and shadowed wilds, countless threads are left untied: wars brewing on distant horizons, ancient ruins whispering of forgotten truths, powers rising in courts and in the dark corners between them.
There is no prophecy. No chosen one. No set path. The future will be written by the people who take it into their hands.
Your character’s ambitions, fears, and past deeds will leave their mark. Will you rise to lead nations or plunge them into ruin? Will you unearth forbidden knowledge or bury it forever? Will your name be sung in triumph — or cursed for generations?
In this tale, there is no script. Every alliance, betrayal, and sacrifice will be born from your choices. Every victory and tragedy will be yours to claim.
This is not a story you follow. This is a story you create.
Our long-term, story-focused homebrew campaign has already begun, but unfortunately, a few players departed due to changes in their schedules. We’re looking to add 1–2 committed roleplayers to bolster our ranks. A possible 3rd slot may open depending on applicant fit.
This campaign places a strong emphasis on:
Character-driven storytelling
Grounded worldbuilding with fantastical elements
Political, social, and psychological themes
Minimal combat (swift and dangerous when it occurs)
Roleplay-first gameplay
A unique pact-based magic system
Combat is rare, swift, and dangerous. Roleplay, character development, and consequences are the core of the experience. If you enjoy mature, immersive, and thoughtful campaigns where your choices truly shape the world, this may be the perfect fit.
We’re looking for players who enjoy:
Deep, character-driven storytelling
Realistic worlds with moral weight
Heavy roleplay (textual or verbal)
Political intrigue, psychology, and mature themes
Lore-rich settings and collaborative plotting
We are not a good fit for:
Power-gaming
Combat-focused players
High fantasy expectations or anime-style heroics
Players who dislike realistic consequences
Campaign Synopsis:
Ruleset: 2014
Starting level: 1 (we're still at the early stages of the campaign)
Applicants of all RP experience levels are welcome — what matters most is maturity, commitment, and interest in long-form storytelling. Applications and interviews required (details in the linked document).
Im 21 (female) and im looking to join an interesting campaign that doesnt just follow typical d&d rules
- I dont have alot of experience - I played Dungeons and Dragons with my siblings from the ages 8- maybe 12 or 13 years old so ive never gotten to experience a more mature form of role play but this has given me a basic base knowledge of the game I also played Vampire the Masquerade
-I watch D&D content online which also gives me alot of context and I do own alot of the (maybe now older) books that I would be more than happy to look back on to prepare
- I really want to develop some role play and acting skills through joining a role play heavy game as im quite nervous in my ability to play the characters with so many spell slots etc... I get more from just immersing myself in a world and imagining how id work around things myself
- my ability to join would really depend on time as im in the UK but due to me not really working due to a disability I would possibly be available depending on what time you typically play and im flexible
- Reservations - the only thing im unsure of is wrapping my head around the world lore id love to be taught it and id happily take notes and study it myself I would just need a bit of patience from you guys as its been so long since ive done anything like this myself (but theres only one way to get back into it!)
I have no experience playing D&D, but I have watched campaigns from Legends of Avantris and Dimension 20 so I know the basics of D&D.
I like when a campaign has a heavy focus on RP.
I would be uncomfortable if someone at the table were disrespectful and impatient with anyone else.
I'm a little confused (and interested) on the magic system.
I'm usually doing nothing on weekends, so I have a lot of time on my hands. My family also has a group calendar so I can know any events ahead of time.
What I most like about RP-oriented campaigns is how you get to see the characters interact with each other and grow. Roleplay is what solidifies a Player Character as not just a figment of someone's imagination, but a character in a story.
I want to play a fighter who grew up learning combat techniques under their father, and then later in their life started fighting in underground combat rings. They would always be looking for a good fight, but also respects people's boundaries. Their goals is just to get stronger.
Hello! My name is Obe, but Mars is also fine. I read everything and I had tears in my eyes from how amazing everything sounds. I continued to read the rest, only to find out that the age requirement is much above my own (the ripe age of fourteen... ouch.). I will not look back if this is a problem, as I understand wanting to have a more mature/adult-only space. If you do, however, think that it would be alright as long as I am not childish, I will respect any wishes you'd like me to follow. I will post an application here just in case, but I understand your reasoning for rejection. Happy rolling!
Your RP experience (tabletop or text-based):
I have been playing D&D since I was in 5th grade, so about 4-5 years? I am a freshman in highschool at the moment.
What you enjoy most in a campaign:
I've already read the 'preview,' but I suppose that I would like to just have a lore-heavy experience with respectful, mature people, who are interested in roleplaying and such.
What you don’t like:
Well, the obvious. Because of my young age, I would prefer not to have my character be... courted... in any manner, but if others want to pursue others, I (of course) do not mind. I also do not feel comfortable with jokes about serious topics, such as SA, which should be common knowledge. Please keep in mind that although I am a minor, I can handle extremely heavy themes--you do not have to change anything or hold anything back because of me; I would also feel extremely bad if you did so. I understand that some are uncomfortable with talking about certain things with minors, but I have been told (and believe it myself) that I matured extremely quickly, handling topics that others my age might not have done so as easily. I don't mean to sound egotistical when I say this, either. If I do, I apologize.
Any reservations towards what you read:
I don't believe so? I am just wondering if there's a chance we could go over it together once during a beginning session just to clear up any questions I have at the time. None that come to me as of now, though.
Yourcommitment:
Of course! I love long-term campaigns and have been looking for one for quite some time now. I am currently looking for a job (though those are hard to come by in general and at this age), but for now the only real problem is school? I'm there from 7am-2:05pm ET (America sucks 👎).
What excites you about aplayer-driven, story-rich campaign:
Where do I start... I love with all my heart creating characters and art (haha it rhymed), as I find myself to be a very creative person. I have wanted to be in a campaign like this for quite some time now, but lots of people my age do not take things as seriously as I'd like. (I'm not saying that I want everyone to be in character 24/7 LMAO, I just mean that they all make characters named either Bob II or Annabelle the Fairy Unicorn Princess (don't touch my tail) Moonlight Goddess.) Having a campaign where people share similar interests is a dream.
A brief character concept you’d like to play — personality, backstory seeds and goals (optional): I'm not sure I have a character I'd like to play in mind yet, but I would be willing to fit any spots we don't have. If that's not the answer you're looking for, I think I would play a character similar to myself (possibly in age, but maybe a little older), as to make it feel realistic but also have a different outlook, if that makes sense.
I really do hope you consider interviewing me, despite it all. Even if you'd like to have an interview and not accept me, I would be happy to make time to do so.

Friend requests received and sent! I also added the approximate length of the sessions to the original post.
