Description: Thala is a razor-smart, sharp-tongued Aven who thinks three steps ahead of everyone else. Raised among cliffside courier guilds, she trained to navigate razor winds, bandits, and mountain storms. Her Skytracer techniques let her dive, feint, and reposition with impossible speed. She joined the evaluations to prove she’s not just a messenger—she’s a future legend.
2. Brammok “Bram” Underember
Race: Emberborn Dwarf Class/Subclass: Fighter — Molten-Guard (custom subclass channeling internal volcanic pressure into bursts of power)
Description: Brammok is a walking forge with a personality equal parts stubborn and soft-hearted. His veins glow faintly like slow-running magma, and his temper heats up just as gradually. His combat style revolves around storing explosive kinetic force and releasing it in perfectly timed bursts. Bram wants to join Tri-Point to learn discipline—and maybe avoid blowing up another family workshop.
3. Silra Moontine
Race: Moon-Elf Class/Subclass: Sorcerer — Echo-Born (subclass using resonant magic, soundwaves, and harmonic illusions)
Description: Silra speaks softly but her magic does not. Her voice carries shimmering undertones of harmonic power that can distort, shatter, or soothe depending on her mood. Echo-Born sorcerers are rare, born when lunar storms collide with a child’s first breath. Silra joined the Academy to understand her powers before they crescendo out of control.
4. Korrin Mossmane
Race: Satyr Class/Subclass: Ranger — Greenstep Strider (nature-scout subclass specializing in momentum, leaps, and toxic flora)
Description: Wild, fast, and constantly humming some unstoppable tune, Korrin is a child of the deep Lustria wetlands. His steps barely disturb the moss, and his arrows bloom with spores harvested from swamp flora. He has a goofy charm—but in a crisis, he becomes laser-focused. Korrin dreams of becoming the first Satyr Instructor in Tri-Point history.
5. Halloweaver “Hallow” Trix
Race: Gnomish Mirrorborn Class/Subclass: Wizard — Refraction Savant (caster who splits spells into mirrored variations)
Description: Hallow grew up in a caravan of illusionists, acrobats, and con artists—yet was the only one who studied magic academically. Their spells refract into mirrored versions: double blasts, split illusions, half-real copies. Hallow is curious, eccentric, and occasionally unsettlingly calm. They want to join Tri-Point to prove that Mirrorborn aren’t just tricksters—they’re innovators.
6. Rhyven Bale
Race: Human (Lustria-born) Class/Subclass: Warlock — Pact of the Lantern (custom: a guiding lantern spirit grants him radiant + shadow balanced powers)
Description: Rhyven carries an ancient lantern bound to a spirit called The Lamplight Warden. Its glow shifts between soothing white and ominous violet depending on his intent. He serves as both healer and interrogator, light and dark in one. Rhyven hopes to join Tri-Point to learn how to wield the Warden’s power without letting it take full control.
Tri-Point Academy One-Shot: Lessons Learned
It is Evaluation Day at Tri-Point Academy—one of the most competitive, cut-throat, and prestigious arcane-martial academies in all of Lustria. Hundreds of hopeful recruits gather beneath the carved stone statues of past graduates, waiting to see whether they will rise as legends… or wash out before sundown.
Each group of five candidates must choose which instructor will run their exam. Every instructor has a wildly different approach: magical duels, physical gauntlets, illusions, tactical puzzles, stealth missions, or ethical trials.
But this year, there is a twist:
One of the five candidates is a saboteur.
Not a villain— Not a traitor— But a second-year student secretly inserted by the Academy to stress-test the rest of the group.
Their mission:
subtly sabotage parts of the exam
misdirect the team
make mistakes that force others to adapt
create unexpected complications
and observe who panics… and who rises
They are trained to be discreet. They will not outright betray or kill the group. Their job is to push the squad to their limits and see how they handle pressure, deception, failure, and sudden obstacles.
They are also under strict orders: if the squad genuinely works together, the saboteur must escalate the test. if the squad begins to fracture, the saboteur must push them toward teamwork.
Only the instructors and a handful of senior staff know this program exists.
And at the end of the evaluation?
Only TWO of the five will be chosen to join the Tri-Point Academy proper.
The rest will be thanked for their bravery… and dismissed.
Some will leave proud. Some will leave furious. And one will return to their second-year dorm with a stack of notes and a very smug smile.
Tonight, the question is simple:
Can your team survive a test that was designed to break you?
