1. Newer to DnD in terms of time played, but we have a solid understanding of the games mechanics and the ruleset. 2. Favored Class: Rogue/Ranger & Bard 3. I enjoy when my DM has fun storytelling, and tying the character's PC's into the story. 4. I dislike when my DM rushes the story, and doesn't take the time to let our PC's communicate and get to know one another. 5. Me and my friend are joint applying with two characters that will attached to this post.
Good day, would just like to preface and say that myself and my friend (application below) are looking to join a campaign together. We have created a loose backstory to explain our bond, hope it works for you!
Character Name: Tirig “Sticky Hands” Dirwest
Character Race: Forest Gnome (Chaotic Good)
Character Class: Rogue
Loose Backstory: (Background: Pickpocket Criminal) As one-half the Dirwest brothers, we relied on each other growing up. While Rorand would perform a wonderful and joyous tune for the folk passing by, Tirig would use his “Sticky Hands” to quickly snag an extra coin or two from whoever may have been distracted. Over time, Tirig has practiced and refined the art of stealth- and pickpocketing. This provided the duo with a consistent meal and supply of coin as they adventured.
Character Name: Rorand “Quick Fingers” Dirwest
Character Race: Forest Gnome (Neutral Good)
Character Class: Bard
Loose Backstory: (Background: Instrumentalist Entertainer) As the other half of the Dirwest Brothers duo, Rorand relied on his brothers sleight of hand to supply their spending habits. Their own certain set of skills aided their methods as they went from town to town serenading the townsfolk. Rorand spent the better part of his life mastering the lute, with a voice almost as magical as his finger pluckin’ musical instrument the pair made a pretty solid team. While one distracted folk, the other would quietly pluck coin from their pockets, and they would scurry away. But, even with this pairing, the two brothers are always looking for work that would bring in that shiny coin.
1. I have played D&D for around 3 years with a local group 2. I like to play Cleric or Ranger(Melee ranger) 3. I enjoy when my DM actually knows his own campaign and doesnt bluster when i try to engage in a bit of RP. 4. I dislike when my DM doesnt know what he wants to do or cant handle different approaches to problems. 5. I like to RP a bit and if I play the Ranger you will have to expect me to probably engage nearly every kind of Abberation, fiend or monstrous humanoid.
Race: Deep Gnome(if it doesnt fit into the setting normal Gnome)
Class: Ranger
Backstory: A coven of witches used his village as a sacrifice to open a portal. Emerging where around 3 Illithid, who continued to massacre the last few survivors. He survived with his family, while hiding inside of the village well. His parents died from the cold and he was saved with his older brother by a group of rangers. His brother became corrupted with the vile powers and became a warlock. Tog chose to be a ranger and now goes around to cleanse the world day for day, week for week, bit for bit.
Background: He grew up in his prarents ancestral tavern/brewery. When he grew up his parents told him about their tradition of following and praying to Hanseath, the God of Brewing and War. While growing up in a bustling dwarrven city he came into many kinds of scuffles and earned his nickname "Brol", which stands actually for Brawl. They just could say it right with some of their teath missing. After he injured a small dwarven girl in one of his legendary brawls in his parents tavern he chose to join the local Temple of Hanseath and become a Cleric in his name. To heal the girl and all the other weak people in the world. To right some of the wrong in the world.
1. Your experience playing D&D: I'v been obsessed with learning the game for the last 9 months, I've DMed a game once but I had really bad players. Pretty new but I am very experianced with the game mechanics, though it might take me some time to feel comfortable roleplaying because I have social anxiety. 2. Your favored class: Definatly a bard! 3. I enjoy when my DM: I like when a good story is told through the game, even if it'll take 3 sessions to introduce a character and even with what I said earlier I really enjoy when the DM let long roleplaying conversations happen 4. I dislike when my DM: Isn't focusing on the player characters and their backstories 5. Anything else you find important to mention: I really want to play the game and I hope you'll find me fitting but I have a problem with the timezones since I live on the other side of the world... even so I really want a group to play with and would really appreciate it if you would let me join!
