Free Discord and DDB accounts are a minimum requirement.  We'll be happy to help with Discord but if you need it supplying your cell# may be the best way.

Putting together a group for fun, power-gamers and "breaking the game" mentalities are decidedly unwelcome.  While I would not relish whipping it out, a response of "no that won't work" from the DM will need to be acceptable to all interested persons in any circumstance I'm not prepared to handle. 

We have DM and tank covered.  TheValorous will be playing a barbarian.
We need good or neutral (no evil characters):
Healer
Magic user (preferably not warlock or sorcerer but negotiable)
Rogue (Ranger considered)
You see the goal is party balance, so feel free to propose options other than a 5th player. The fear with Warlock/Sorcerer or Sorlock is too few attacks.  The preference of a rogue is around big damage.  If we make it to LVL6 we can start talking about multi-classing and changing class. 

Weekly Thursdays 8-10:30 (hard-stop by 11)PM EST/EDT starting February 5th 2026  ie 8-11PM New York time and we adjust with the time change to remain at 8PM start.  Right now I'm in setup including creation of the first adventure, DDB campaign, and Discord server.  I'd like your character sheets built and attached to my DDB campaign by 1/20/26 so I can customize the adventure to your collective strengths.  D&D Beyond Campaign details and house rules will be supplied via Discord PM.  If things go well a discord voice meet and greet at 8PM EST on 1/29/2026 is likely.

I'm a long time sporadic player for well over 30 years and have been DMing for a little over a year.  All adventures are homebrew and could wind-up on DMsGuild for purchase, but  players will be given a free copy at the end of play.  Homebrew items/weapons/spells from players will be considered for use.  None of your homebrew would go onto DMsGuild unless we have a written agreement.
I'm Blaneyfan on D&D Beyond and blaneyfan6383 on Discord,  Feel free to PM with either method if interested.  When I started DMing the best advice I got was to start at lvl1 and work the knowledge into my head little by little. Circumstances have prevented that to this point, but now I'm following it hoping to build core knowledge and reduce my required think time during sessions.  

Into each life some rain must fall but please do not engage if you have an existing work or social commitment that could rotate in and out of the game time slot.  Since only 4 players will be in the group a no-show is a cancelled session with assumed resumption the following week.  If the group gels well and is responsive on Discord we will try rescheduling so advance notice of an absence is greatly appreciated and far more than just common courtesy. 

Disclaimer, I try not to encourage or participate in political dialogue during game time, but Trump is a joke that writes itself and he's actively endangering my livelihood so some jokes and jabs in that direction may happen.   

I'm up to play a damage mitigation knowledge cleric.  I pair well with my GF's tabaxi ranger hunter, who could take on DPS and rogue-work.  I agree with your sentiments about politics and the current cancer in chief.  I also agree that politics and religion are not the best things to discuss while trying to slay dragons and their ilk, while also trying to remain alive.  It just breaks the 4th wall too much. Let me know what you think.  We are both retired.

Hi, I’m Jazzi and intermediate player who took a 10 year break and recently started playing about a year and half ago. During that year I’ve only had one dm and a long running campaign that is taking a year hiatus. I’m branching out to find a second group/dm. I do work weird hours but thankfully have a decently understanding leadership team and plan to ask not to scheduled past 8pm starting February 5th. I have both healer and rouge characters but will/can create a completely new character for this campaign(actually haven’t made one in awhile it’ll be nice). I am 28 also and live in Baltimore so est. Also you have a lot of experience and I am currently trying to teach myself DMing and would if you’re ever looking or interested in an apprentice I would be very grateful.
