Hello, beautiful reader of this thread! How do I know you're beautiful and/or handsome? A magician never reveals his secrets.
Anyway, like the title says, I'm a solo player looking for a (hopefully) long term online campaign to join. I'm 28, EST, virgo, my mother's maiden name is [redacted], and I'm gonna be KING OF THE PIRATES (One Piece reference anybody?). In terms of availability, I'm available any weekday outside the hours of 7am - 7:30pm, and weekends I'm completely open (as long as it's at a set time or I have advanced notice).
As for experience, I've played in a few campaigns a number of years ago and I'm a huge Critical Role and Baldur's Gate fan. As life goes though, my friend group and I all got into one thing or another and we haven't been able to coordinate a game since. I say all that to say this: I'm not a newbie persay, but I'll probably need a session or two to shake off the rust and learn the intricacies of the new 2024 changes.
Ideally I'm looking for a campaign with a balanced amount of roleplay and combat. I'm also not opposed to different settings as long as I vibe with the plot (and the group vibes with me, of course).
In terms of class/subclass, I would prefer Arcane Trickster Rogue, Eldritch Knight Fighter, Oath of Vengeance Paladin, or Bladesinger Wizard. BUT, I would absolutely be open to almost anything else depending on what your group needs (except Barbarian. Barb's are super boring).
SO! Now that you failed your wisdom save against my charm person spell (I COULDN'T RESIST. AT LEAST ONE JOKE HAD TO HAPPEN. SUE ME. BUT DON'T REALLY), feel free to send me a PM here or on Discord (username: creammteamm) to discuss specifics!
Hey CreammTeamm — first of all, the intro absolutely landed. Critical Role, BG, pirates, and a refusal to play Barbarian? Bold choices across the board.
I’ll be upfront right away: we may not be exactly what you’re looking for if you want a single, fixed, traditional campaign with one DM and one party. That said, based on your availability, RP/combat balance preference, and class flexibility, there’s a very good chance we’d still be a strong fit.
You might want to take a look at The Nexus.
We’re an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly D&D community built around a Westmarch-style structure, meaning:
Multiple DMs
Multiple ongoing storylines and worlds
Persistent characters that grow over time
No reliance on a single group or schedule staying perfect forever
What that means in practice is that people who are obsessed with D&D (the “thinking about next session all week” crowd) tend to thrive here.
What we offer, clearly and up front:
18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly community (mandatory)
Westmarch style with each DM running their own world (mandatory)
Global community with sessions running every day (mandatory)
Play by Post / TRP options available alongside live games (mandatory)
D&D Beyond campaign links for content sharing (mandatory)
D&D 5e (2014 ruleset) using all official content
Level 3 start, 35-point buy
No level cap (proficiency bonus capped at +10)
One-shots that connect into longer narrative arcs, with optional campaigns
Plenty of RP-forward tables where character choices and backstories actually matter
A lot of our players are former “solo player looking for the right table” folks — people who want good vibes, competent roleplay, and DMs who care about story without turning the game into a homework assignment.
If you want to get a feel for it, here’s the parent thread: Check us out here
Worst case: you decide it’s not your thing. Best case: you find yourself rolling initiative more often than you probably should be.
Either way, happy hunting — and good luck becoming King of the Pirates.
