The world in which you live is in a state of peace, and it has been for some years. Things are nice, unless you thrive on war. The economy of every region in the land is booming, trade relations have never been better between the four cities of Naljada. People are, for the first time in a long time, enjoying life risk free from the troubles of constant battle and death.
But a certain darkness broods over the lands, waiting to wreak havoc on those who think their lives will be like this forever. And soon... it will strike.
Me
Hi there, my name is Ned. I’m a professional actor, voice actor and also a thoroughly bored student when I’m not on set. I’ve been playing DnD 5e for 4 years now, but my journey began on 4e, just a year prior. I’ve pretty much played with the same party for my entire experience, but with everyone going their separate ways for university I’ve been left at a loss of a good DnD fix. My group would fluctuate the DM on every campaign, so as well as playing, I’ve also been DMing for 5 years, just not every time. Even so, I have plenty of experience in the field. You may wonder “Why is this particular campaign paid when I could so easily play one for free?” Well let me tell you. Acting is a great job which I adore, but before you hit your big break it can also be extremely inconsistent. As a student, money is always an issue and I figure I can do things alongside acting and university. Either work a job I hate which ties me down, or do something I love and am passionate about. As most would, I’ve opted for the latter. This is a campaign I’ve poured my heart and soul into in order to ensure that you’re having the best experience possible. It will also have, potentially, one of the most epic finales you’ve ever been apart of in DnD should you play in a way that takes you there. This is a rich world you’ll be learning about which will be returned too in future campaigns should you wish to come back for another.

I’m looking for two parties of 6 to take places in campaigns which are related but not physically connected… yet. So if you’re interested in the world but don’t make it into this party, keep your eyes out for my post looking for the next one! This will be a long campaign so I’m looking for players who can get behind one character consistently. The sessions for this party will run once a week, between 4-5 hours, through a discord server you’ll be invited to if you make it into the group, every Tuesday starting on September 11th at: 6pm EST, 3pm PST or 10pm GMT depending on where you are. Any nationality is welcome at my virtual table.
The first session will be a FREE TRIAL RUN to see if you and your party connect, and if you like the world. After that, each game will be $12 paid two hours before each session via PayPal. Not that I don’t trust the wonderful DnD community, it’s just a lot easier to keep track. It may seem expensive, but you're paying for the most immersive and detailed DnD experience money can buy I assure you.
These are homebrew games which will have a healthy blend of drama, combat, roleplay and comedy. I hope that's your type of game. I'm not implementing any new rules or regulations, so don't worry about or expect anything outside of the DMG, XGTE and PHB.
Character Creation (Please create your character in DnD Beyond!)
All characters begin as Level 6 and progress via Milestone. Characters stats are to be picked Manually so I’m trusting your rolls! Should you have a great reason for it, with regards to weapons and spells I will let you have something outside of starting gear. All other gear will be starting equipment. No characters who are evil just for the sake of it. ******** are ok, as long as at heart you have a good reason for fighting the orcs. Please come in with a good backstory! Pre-existing characters are absolutely fine so long as they are level 6 (Half-orcs are fine). Fleshed out characters only make the game a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved, but especially for me.
PLEASE FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS IN BELOW POST
Character: I was thinking of a halfling fighter that focuses on riding a mount or a elf wizard
Favourite Ever DnD Moment:
when the party got trapped in hell and my paladin got turned into a death knight by the warlock after he became a lich and we spent the rest of forever killing each other
DnD Background/Experience: Homebrew RPGs and about an hour of 5e
Character: Henry Cortel
Race:Human
Class:Fighter
Character Backstory: His father was a explorer and Henry grew up hear his father's storys of adventure, discovery, and peril. And now he wants to create his own storys, friends, and riches.
DnD Background/Experience: Played one campaign, never finished. Watched Critical Role. Read all the books through several times.
Character: I have two choices, one that might not work. The first one's name is Gwendolyn, goes by Psychic. The second one's is Shemeerthun, goes by Shemeer.
Race: Psychic is a High Elf, Shemeer is a Lizardfolk.
Class: Psychic is an Awakened Mystic (why it might not work), Shemeer is an Assassin Rogue.
Character Backstory: The backstories are very long and detailed, the characters were not originally made for DnD. Psychic is loosely based of Gardevoir (from Pokemon), and grew up with her twin brother, Gavin. She and her brother discovered latent psionic powers and started their adventures together from there. What happened to Gavin is unsure (can be worked out with you, the DM) but his disappearance/death is what drove Psychic onto the path she is on now. Shemeer is based off a character I originally made in Skyrim as an Argonian, and was raised by an assassin's guild. Later, while she was out on a contract, someone destroyed the assassins she was a part of. She then set out to destroy them, all the while being an assassin for hire.
Favourite Ever DnD Moment: When I was playing the campaign I was in, there were parts where myself and another player would put all of our efforts into making sure another player, our Cleric, didn't do anything stupid, resulting in either his or all of our deaths.
Other Notes: Psychic is a Mystic, if that is a problem I will not play her. I would like for Shemeer to have a blowgun and needles, as well as one vial of poison to start, as she is an assassin who frequently uses poison as a weapon.
DnD Background: I was a player character for most of high school. Last year i took my first crack at DMing and enjoyed it a lot, but eggar to go back to being a PC
Character: Samson
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Bard
Character Backstory: Samson never knew his elven father, though his human mother told him stories every night before he went to sleep. Samson growing up in a human village was made fun of by all the other human kids, not having any friends Samson took to studying stories and music. In his late teens he left his mother to try and find the father he never knew. to support himself he took to telling stories and singing songs in taverns. it wasn't a prosperous life but he made due.
Favorite DnD moment: In my high school group campaign we were going up against this dragon priestess and it was going to be a hard fight, but before we rolled initiative I yelled out to our DM that i was going to seduce her. As he's saying that it's going to be a very hard DC to beat i rolled a natural 20 and we avoided the fight entirely.
Character Backstory: Kidnapped as a infant, Deirk was raised by a cult to be an enforcer. Upon seeing an escape and learning that his family could still be alive, he ran. He is now hunted by and hunts the cult, while also trying to seek information about his family. (I have a much more detailed backstory that I can share later.)
Favourite Ever DnD Moment: I was playing a dragonborn cleric. The party was all very low level and we had been just "introduced" as characters. During our first round of combat, our sorcerer cast minor illusion on our goliath paladin and made it look like he was on fire. The rest of the characters though didn't know what was happening and thought it was real. My dragonborn instantly freaked out and tried to pat out the flames. After 2 rounds of that not working, my dragonborn cast his ice breath to put out the flames. Right after that, combat ended and the sorceror released the spell making my dragonborn and the goliath think that it was the ice breath that saved the goliath's life.
DnD Background/Experience: Been playing since I was 15 and I dm a few games of my own.
Character: I'm looking to play a multiclass character, maybe a Barbarian Warlock or something. Big ol strong dumb dude with a certain bond to motivate him.
Race: Either a monstrous race (if allowed) or just the good ole half-orc.
Experience: I have been playing for 6 years now, I've DMed quite a few home brewed games and played a lot but I have never played 5e.
Character: Barker the Cleric
Race: As boring as it may sound my favorite race to play has always been Human.
Backstory: Barker woke up in a bar several years ago with no memory of his past. He had a glass of cranberry juice in one hand, but after tasting it realized he hated the taste of cranberries. From there he set off to find out who he was. Unfortunately he met nobody that recognized him. His memory never came back and he resorted to a Fortune Teller. The old woman hidden in a frozen cave told him nothing of his past, but rather much of his future. Her words have rung in Barker's mind for 2 years now; "You must not unveil your past, for what comes ahead will define who you truly are."
Favorite DnD Moment Ever: When I was in High School the rules were extremely strict, the DM (my History teacher) never let my friend and I do what we wanted without the party leader's permission. Eventually he finally gave in because we weren't having fun. Long story short, my friend and I started a war between the Dwarves and Elves by kicking a Dwarf into a boiling pot of soup.
DnD Background/Experience: Played multiple games with my friends.
Character: Caerprax Tastur Dralkenketh
Race: Human
Class: Wizard
Character Backstory: Adopted by two Dragonborn mages, he grew tired of his solitary home and decided to leave most of his physical possessions behind to adventure.
Favourite Ever DnD Moment: When I accidentally set my friend on fire and we couldn't put him out.
The world in which you live is in a state of peace, and it has been for some years. Things are nice, unless you thrive on war. If you're looking for a full party of 6 dudes that already know each other, I may be able to arrange that.
We're currently playing through a campaign as a party of 5, but I'm sure our DM would be up for joining as a player! We've all known each other a few years now, and will be finishing up our first campaign soon.
Send me a PM if you wanna have all the info on everyone since I haven't discussed this with them yet!
I mean, for this campaign I already have four players, however in around a month I will begin running the two campaigns side by side, different stories taking place in the same world. Can I keep you open for that mate?
Provisionally for sure. Obviously I dunno if we'll be in another campaign at that point but I see no reason we wouldn't be able to put it on hold. Send me a PM and I'll add you on discord so we can have a chat dude.
background he is a lot like percy from critical roll
favourite dnd moment I had to save one of my friends from the fighters guild as a monk and challenged there leader to a fight to let him go and won and the cut off one of his fingers
DnD Background/Experience: 3 or so years I'm also a self-proclaimed voice actor. While I don't have professional experience, I still have a lot of experience doing voices and such.
Character: Liathana Avor, daughter to the head mistress of the illustrious house of Courtesans; The Alluring Adventurer
Race: Elf/ Aasimar
Class: My current favorite I have is a homebrew Oracle Healer/ Courtesan
Character Backstory: Born to the elven Oracle, "Igna Avor" head mistress of, "The Alluring Adventurer", Liathana spent her life thus far studying the ways of the Courtesan Spy. Being adept at manipulation and Oracle spellcasting, she quickly became an exemplary agent under Igna's guidance. As an Aasimar, her company has been highly requested. Suitors booked visits decades in advance prior to her coming of age. Once the time came, she tended to her duties, and became an accomplished Courtesan. For the next 11 years, she grew connections, fulfilled requests, gained notoriety, and honed her skills. After a while, as all Courtesans of the House must, she was sent out on a pilgrimage to gain new skills, learn of new cultures, and spread the name of her illustrious house. Typically, an Alluring Adventurer seeks a reliable party to help protect them, and make up for the things in which they lack.
Typically, a Courtesan of the Alluring Adventurer makes this venture and has one of a few possible goals (most are set based on an individual's skills, and are designed to fix areas in which they are lacking). In Liathana's case, hers was to bring back tales and proof of adventurous and noble exploits (saving people, righting wrongs, banishing evil, etc.), as her approach to certain situations left others feeling that her intentions weren't exactly, "of good intention".
Favourite Ever DnD Moment: In my last D&D campaign, I joined the party later than the rest, and we all drunkenly made me a wild magic sorcerer. Her name was Tim, a lesbian human of an unknown age (but ungodly old), constantly levitating (flavor only), has 64 breasts, 23 nipples (don't ask), weighs like 69 tons, and loved using Prestidigitation. She's a crazy old lady that teleports and floats around, pranking people. One time, on an airship, we had just fought a bunch of pirates or something, and I was in the captains' room that me and the two other girls had taken over. All of us sitting around naked, I cast Prestidigitation and ended up with wild magic.
I accidentally cast Fireball in the small room. Tim died.
The other two and their pets lived, and the explosion luckily didn't hit the gaseous part pf the vehicle. But yeah: I almost caused a TPK with an accidental Fireball.
My girlfriend was mad at me for almost killing her pet.

But yeah:
I almost caused a TPK with an accidental Fireball.
My girlfriend was mad at me for almost killing her pet.
