Hello everyone, I am AxP and I'm the DM. I am currently planning a homebrew campaign that feels and tastes like a 5.e campaign you’d expect, but with homebrewed locations, names etc. But you will still be able to find the classic monsters such as owlbears, mimics, dragons etc.
We have already settled on 5 out of 6 players, and most of us have played together for about 2.5 years, with a bit of that time being IRL downtime, in another campaign that I ran, although some joined later. So for this new campaign we would like to add 1 new player to our roster, for what is hopefully going to be a long and fun adventure for all.
Our Time slot for the new campaign is set to Saturdays from 5 pm to 10 pm (GMT +1) with a potential break for food etc. But don't let that discourage you from applying, as I believe we can be somewhat flexible on time. More importantly, the campaign is set to start some time in late January, and in the time leading up to it we will be talking about characters, plot, backstory etc. and getting to know each other through a session 0 and so on.
We will be playing DnD 5.5(2024), but also allow 2014 content where applicable. As for the direction of the campaign, it is leaning towards a healthy mix between Combat and RP, with some elements of exploration.
We are looking for players who want to play for a long time, so a dedication for a long campaign is valued highly, along with people respecting each other's time(being on time) and having basic behaviors/manners, to not be “that guy”. And we will be using discord for our voice communication. And we play on Roll20.
The basic requirements:
Age 18+, English speaking.
New player friendly
Right attitude / right fit for the group
5 hours of play, weekly.
Currently the players are playing: Warlock Ranger Sorc Artificer Unknown You? :)
So while we would like a cleric or another frontliner, its not a requirement and we will see what we have when the game rolls around. To begin with i would simply like to know if any of this interests you, and if so, let me know by stating your name / age / country, roughly how much dnd experience you have, which version, and a little bit about the 3 pillars of DnD(combat, RP, exploration) that you enjoy/expect to see. And basic stuff for the character(s)/roles you are willing to play. Hope to hear from you!
Hi I'm Zephy, 24. We share times zones and I am 100% interested in this campaign. I played DnD on and off since 2020 and have a decent amount of experience both through games and creating content (homebrew items, worlds, etc). I am capable of playing any and all forms of roles within a party and am both comfortable and interested in the roleplay and combat sides of DnD.
If there is still room for me in your campaign, I'd be more than happy to join! My discord handle is zeph2boo where I'd be more likely to reply to any other questions you have before accepting me into the party, as this platform isn't one that I'm very active on.
I’m very interested in joining your upcoming campaign. It sounds like you have a great, established group, and I’d love the chance to be your sixth player for a long-term adventure.
About Me:
Name: Drekky
Age: 33
Experience: I have about a year of experience playing D&D 5e. I consider myself moderately experienced—I’m comfortable with the mechanics and flow of the game, but I’m always eager to learn more.
The Three Pillars: I enjoy a healthy balance of all three! I really like the tactical side of Combat, the immersion and storytelling of RP, and the wonder of Exploration. I’m happy to lean into whatever the narrative requires, as I find that a mix of all three makes for the most memorable campaigns.
Character & Role: I would love to play a Paladin. I actually have a character concept ready named Bonk, a Paladin of the Raven Queen with a tragic backstory involving his childhood companion (an elk named Waffles) and a vendetta against the cult of Gruumsh.
That said, I saw that you are looking for a frontliner or a cleric, and I am completely open to switching classes if the party needs something else to feel balanced. I’m a team player first and foremost!
Availability & Commitment: The Saturday time slot (5 pm – 10 pm GMT+1) works perfectly for me. I am looking for a stable, weekly group and I take pride in being punctual and respectful of everyone’s time.
I’m really excited about the January start date and would love to chat more during a Session 0 to see if I’m the right fit for your group.
My name is Dane. I'm 39. I've not played DnD 2024 but I did just buy the books for Christmas. It's been about 4 years since my last DnD campaign and a beginner friendly game would really be helpful. I appreciate that you're running such a game. I really enjoy developing a character, and the collective storytelling that ties players together in a game. I do have a character concept prepared but I can be flexible.
I am an American. My timezone is quite different, Mountain time, 5pm-10pm Saturday your time is 9am-2pm Saturday my time and this works well for me. If you're okay with an American playing in your games, I'd be happy to play with you and your players.
I'd love to play Kalarrn, a True Neutral High Elf Oath of Vengeance Paladin and Stormknife mercenary from the High Forest—a sturdy frontline tank (dual scimitars, high Str/Con/Cha, Tough feat) who seizes his power through indomitable will rather than divine gifts. As a Stormknife (elite Tempuran mercenaries marked by a four-drop blood patch), he lives by an escalating oath: first loyalty to the sword (seek battle always), second to the client (obey orders), third to the contract's letter, and highest to Tempus’s silent will (which he alone interprets—rarely invoked, but dramatically, to hunt Codebreakers or protect war’s purity, creating great party choice moments). He’s bound to the group via a formal contract with one PC as his “client” (fair loot share, follows orders unless they violate the Code), offering reliable combat, moral tension, and deep hooks (He writes weekly letters home, carries a ruined childhood cloak he quietly mourns, fierce protection of the innocent). His reimagined Tempus, the god of war, is distant and impersonal (no prayers, no direct intervention—just a "Veil" that enforces the Code cosmically), keeping divine RP entirely player-driven and low-maintenance for you. I'm happy to adjust ties or details to fit the campaign!
Hey AxP, my name is Daniel, I'm from Israel, 35 years old. I actually don't have any d&d experience but I was always fascinated by it and I love rpg games with d&d systems :) I may need some guidance in the beginning but I'm a quick learner and will become more independent as time goes by. I was looking for a while for a committed group which has a good schedule and it seems like this 5pm to 10pm kinda works for me. I will be a committed player as I know how hard it is to get everybody together every week.
I am a little bit familiar with the 3 pillars of d&d and I like mostly exploring and combat, with a little bit of RP (or mayble alot we will see :) ). I am willing to play any role so I am down to talk about it in session 0. I have really good English (my wife is Canadian and we speak English at home) so comms is not an issue.
Hopefully this is enough information but if you need anything else don't hesitate to contact me.
Hello! My name is Angel (he/him), I'm a fellow Dane, 19, I've been playing on and off for about 6 years, if I had to break down how I like the 3 pillars I'd personally say 40% combat 40% roleplay and 20% exploration. I'd be open to playing a cleric, paladin, or maybe even some sorta homebrew spellsword type class :)
My discord is .theangelgabriel if you want to contact me there
Thanks for showing interest! I have been getting a lot of responses and ill try and get back to you when i can, but im also very busy with my exam stuff which is coming up soon.
