Final Notes
My character is a do-gooder map maker. He's a do-gooder by nature but is more than willing to kill to free people. He's a druid who loves true freedom of the soul, literally wants people to live like hobbits do, free and happy. (If you need anything more let me know, I can also play another character I have)
I enjoy breaking darker or morally grey societies. Meaning, I enjoy breaking the yoke of slavery for people, I also enjoy a good and bloody rebellion.

How experienced are you with Dungeons & Dragons? - I'm brand new to playing D&D; I've only played some Baldur's Gate 3
How familiar are you with Theatre of the Mind style play? - I googled it and it sounds fun
What part of D&D do you enjoy most? - I haven't played yet, but from playing BG3 and reading some books, I guess the setting and stories
How do you like your campaigns to feel? - I haven't played a campaign yet, but I like the feeling of exploring ruins/lost temples/etc. (Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider style)
Comfort & Boundaries
This campaign will explore mature themes such as violence, moral choices, and emotional moments. Are you comfortable with that? - Yes
Hard No's - please list any topics, themes, or situations you do not want included in the campaign or discussed in detail (Please note: that this is a campaign with darker tones but not unescapably dark) - I don't want to play an evil character; no ERP
Soft No's / Fade to Black topics - These can exist in the world but will not be described or played out in scene by players or DM - I can't think of any right now
Are you okay with romantic themes? - Yes, just no ERP lol
Are you okay with your character experiencing death or permanent consequences? - Yes
Final Notes
What kind of character or backstory are you most interest in playing? (Please give a brief description) - My character is a new, and somewhat naive, cleric who after spending years of service and study in the Church of Selune, attempted to join the group of clerics who hunt evil werewolves in order to convert or eliminate them. His request was denied and he was told to get real world experience
Do you enjoy darker or morally gray storylines (rebellion, slavery, revenge, survival, etc.) - As long as I'm not the evil one doing the slavery
Is there anything else I should know to make the campaign more enjoyable or comfortable for you? - Since I'm new, I'd like a group who will be patient with me until I get the hang of things
Hi there! If you still have an opening I would love to join your campaign!
Basic Information
Name: Rose Age:26 Pronouns: she/her Discord Tag: _hiina_ Time Zone: PST. Saturday at 8pm EST would work great for me, it’s only 5pm PST.
Experience & Playstyle
How experienced are you with Dungeons & Dragons? I have minimal experience but I’m ready to learn! I played a short online campaign in 2020 and more recently I’ve been watching a lot of Dimension 20. Currently reading through the player’s handbook, I feel like I have a good grasp of the basic mechanics.
How familiar are you with Theatre of the Mind style play? Familiar in theory, Fantasy High: Sophomore Year was all theatre of the mind so I understand the concept and didn’t have any issues holding the battles in my mind while listening. I’m sure it’ll be more difficult to hold onto everything while playing but I’m fairly confident in my memory.
What part of D&D do you enjoy most? The unique stories that get told. I think it’s really neat how people can come together to create a story that can be really raw and engaging in a way that traditionally published books/tv shows/movies often aren’t because a campaign’s story doesn’t have to go through editors or need to cater to the widest audience possible. DnD’s capacity to encourage creativity, exploration and collaboration is amazing.
How do you like your campaigns to feel? I’m not entirely sure yet because of my limited experience with being a PC. My guess for what I’d like is an engaging and collaborative campaign with a good balance of combat.
Comfort & Boundaries
This campaign will explore mature themes such as violence, moral choices, and emotional moments. Are you comfortable with that? Yes, absolutely.
Hard No's - please list any topics, themes, or situations you do not want included in the campaign or discussed in detail (Please note: that this is a campaign with darker tones but not unescapably dark). Graphic depictions of sexual violence. Mentions of sexual violence are fine if it’s relevant to the plot.
Soft No's / Fade to Black topics - These can exist in the world but will not be described or played out in scene by players or DM. None at the moment, if something came up later on I’d let you know.
Are you okay with romantic themes? Yep!
Are you okay with your character experiencing death or permanent consequences? Yes, it’s part of the fun for me.
Final Notes
What kind of character or backstory are you most interest in playing? (Please give a brief description) The idea I’ve been playing with is a halfling druid who comes from a long line of healers but didn’t feel at home with the home and hearth deities that her home community worships and went out into the world to seek a more primal deity from stories of old when halflings were a little more wild. Happy to tweak things to suit the campaign! I have more backstory under works that I’m happy to share.
Do you enjoy darker or morally gray storylines (rebellion, slavery, revenge, survival, etc.). Absolutely!
Is there anything else I should know to make the campaign more enjoyable or comfortable for you? Nothing off the top of my head.
Heyo, hope you still have the opening. If so, thanks for the consideration :)

How experienced are you with Dungeons & Dragons: extremely. I have been both a player and DM for 4 years (75% DM-ing, primarily in my own homebrew setting which is very Faerun/Exandria-esque).
How familiar are you with Theatre of the Mind style play: moderately. I usually use a VTT for combat (always DnDBeyond), but for everything else I do theatre of mind. I'm really into doing Liam O'Brien-style descriptions of my character's actions.
What part of D&D do you enjoy most: the RP, especially when it is digging into character backstories in a way that overlaps with the plot, or it is just all having fun conversations in character that allow us to get to know eachother better.
How do you like your campaigns to feel: at least a bit serious, RP-driven, high immersion, and where the characters' backstories/identities have notable roles in the overall plot. Basically, Critical Role style (which is also sorta how I run my games when I'm a DM).
Comfort & Boundaries
This campaign will explore mature themes such as violence, moral choices, and emotional moments. Are you comfortable with that: Yup, if anything I prefer it.
Hard No's - please list any topics, themes, or situations you do not want included in the campaign or discussed in detail: nothing comes to mind, just preferably nothing that is clearly too extreme (e.g. PCs getting raped).
Soft No's / Fade to Black topics - These can exist in the world but will not be described or played out in scene by players or DM: nothing comes to mind.
Are you okay with romantic themes: Hell yeah!!! I personally love doing romance (PC v PC or PC v NPC). I have private discussions to establish consent with the other party involved, then make it a slow-burn thing.
Are you okay with your character experiencing death or permanent consequences: yup, though depending on what it is they should be potentially preventable and/or reversible, though fixing the situation could be a long-term thing.
Final Notes
What kind of character or backstory are you most interest in playing? Since you said you wanted a healer, I came up with a new PC idea I haven't tried out before. I love working with the DM to intergrate the character idea into the setting, so a lot of this I'd be more than willing to work with you to edit/refine.
Alexandros Tirheus (Alex for short) is an aasimar divine soul sorcerer, who is human-looking except when his powers come out.
Unbeknownst to him, his father used to be some kind of angelic servant of a god (Lathendar? Pelor? I have a few ideas but I'd make a decision after talking to you and figuring out which deity makes the most sense in the context of the story & matches the vibe I'm thinking of, esp. if you have your own deities). However, his father was cursed in some manner (or... possibly banished by his god as a punishment or penance), that made him a regular mortal, hence how he wound up with Alex's mother (though the divine-juju was genetically passed on to Alex, which no one was aware of at first).
Some time ago, both of his parents were killed in some kind of nightmare-fuel manner, by some kind of faction diametrically opposed to the deity his father was affiliated with (specifics I would again discuss with you to figure out what ties in best with the story you have in mind). E.g. if it was a light god, perhaps some kind of cult affiliated with a shadow god, devils, or with demons of the abyss, etc.
Since his parents' death, Alex's innate celestial powers have emerged to his confusion. Now he is trying to find his way alone in the world with these terrifying and exhilarating new powers, all while shadowy forces (i.e. the ones who secretly killed his parents) are trying to subtly corrupt him and flip him to their side, since his power is a prize they covet to twist to their side.
Personality wise, he's a bit of a wisecracker to hide his grief and trauma (also occasionally does the same using sex/alcohol), and has a way with words and people. He is a good egg at heart, but shadows weighing down on him would make him willing to stoop to some unpleasant lows. He is trying to figure out what his powers are and where they came from, and ultimately wants to find a sense of belonging due to his newfound loneliness.
Role-wise, this build would be a healthy spread capable of powerful healing & support magic, plus sometimes a bit of damage. The divine sorcerer build gets access to all the cleric spells, AND can use metamagic distant spell to make those healing spells more effective (e.g. can cast cure wounds from 30ft away, or mass healing word on allies within 120ft). Would take the healer feat from origin, so can reroll the healing dice if they are bad ensuring that the heal is always (would ofc find a way to tie this into the backstory; perhaps with what his parents did?) The aasimar race fits super thematically and also gives a bit more healing. The combination of the healer + sorcerer spell lists gives access to a wide variety of spells of every type (healing, support, enemy debuff, multiple kinds of damage) so I would grab a useful mix for a support-forward build, though still ensuring every spell choice is thematically connected to the character (e.g. if the angel dad was connected to a sun god, would take daylight and wouldn't take a spell like darkness).
Do you enjoy darker or morally gray storylines (rebellion, slavery, revenge, survival, etc.): Hell yeah :)
Is there anything else I should know to make the campaign more enjoyable or comfortable for you? Not sure if any of these are relevant but:
If allowed, I love designing some homebrew stuff with DM input ofc. For example when playing a wizard, I like if they once-in-a-while develop their own spells. Or maybe a paladin winds up with a homebrew weapon, etc.
I'm ADHD/OCD, and a high engagement player.
I'm gay, which is a trait I put in all my PCs.
I'm not a min-maxer, but I have enough skill with basically every set of mechanics in D&D that I can always start with the thought of "ok what does my character want to do" then find a mechanically optimal way to enact that idea.

I am also a player who engages strongly with a story and will try to find ways to fill any silent gaps
How experienced are you with Dungeons & Dragons
Pretty experianced, I have dmed in a homebrew world of my own and played in several types of settings.
How familiar are you with Theatre of the Mind style play?
I am familiar with it, and fine with it generally for all roleplay situations for sure. I do prefer some sort of grid/vtt for combat (generally just spatial awareness doesn't have to be anything fancy).
What part of D&D do you enjoy most?
The roleplay, telling a good story.
How do you like your campaigns to feel?
I like them to feel engaging, like my character is actually part of the world.

Hard No's - please list any topics, themes, or situations you do not want included in the campaign or discussed in detail (Please note: that this is a campaign with darker tones but not unescapably dark) my only hard no per se is particularly graphically descriptive mentions of self harm (cutting in particular) (it has to get pretty graphic like R to X rated graphic to trigger me though) otherwise im pretty okay with letting the dm know if something unexpected comes up.
Soft No's / Fade to Black topics - These can exist in the world but will not be described or played out in scene by players or DM: nothing comes to mind but I can let people know if something comes up unexpectedly.
Are you okay with romantic themes? Perfectly fine
Are you okay with your character experiencing death or permanent consequences? Yes, though with my particular flavour of AuDHD an ooc explanation of why is helpful to process it.
Final Notes
What kind of character or backstory are you most interest in playing? (Please give a brief description)
Arryn Morguldir is an Aasimar, agender (masc presenting) Arcana Cleric with the Sage Background.
Arryn, is a student of knowledge - particularly forbidden knowledge and the secrets of the multiverse. Basically, he was born the child of some sort of knowledge based God (I guess technically demi-god esq BUT born mortal and to a humble family). Arryn is aware of his parentage, but rarely brings it up unless it is truly relevant to the conversation. He is more interested in studying magic, and any hard to find knowledge- particularly of the multiverse/cosmic level stuff etc. He carries with him an ancient tome filled with secrets that he knows must never fall into the wrong hands.
Through all of this however, Arryn is innately drawn to being a protector of those in trouble. Using the knowledge he gains to help/heal etc.
Do you enjoy darker or morally gray storylines (rebellion, slavery, revenge, survival, etc.) Ive played several so yes.
Is there anything else I should know to make the campaign more enjoyable or comfortable for you?
Mostly that i have AuDHD (autism and adhd) and that if I do happen to get emotionally dysregulated, (it's something I'll always have to work on) just take a moment to pause and let me regulate (shouldnt take long) - possibly answer any questions ooc to help me process things.
