We’re an already-established group of friends of 4 to 5 players between the ages of 25 and 30 looking for a Dungeon Master to join us for a long-term D&D 5E campaign on Roll20/Discord.
Our table is highly roleplay-focused, with a strong love for character interaction, exploration, and narrative depth. We’re the kind of group that happily spends hours in-character developing relationships, uncovering lore, and following story threads. Combat is absolutely part of the game—but it’s sprinkled in thoughtfully, rather than being the primary focus. Players range from moderately experienced to very familiar with 5E.
System & Style
D&D 5E with some existing homebrew
Heavy emphasis on roleplay and exploration
Character-driven storytelling over pure optimization
Campaign Premise The party is enrolled at an adventuring academy. The campaign would ideally begin during the party’s final year at the academy, giving space to:
Build on established group dynamics
Deepen character arcs and relationships
Complete missions and assignments tied to the academy
Explore the broader world through the lens of this institution
The setting, characters, and some narrative groundwork are already established—but where the story goes from there is entirely up to the DM and we are open to adjusting these as well. We’re excited to collaborate and give you room to shape the plot, themes, and long-term direction.
Tone & Themes
We’re comfortable exploring darker or more mature themes when they serve the story, but we’re not looking for a campaign that becomes relentlessly grim or depressing. We believe good storytelling has highs and lows—moments of tension, loss, and consequence balanced by hope, growth, humor, and meaningful victories. At the end of the day, we want the game to remain engaging, collaborative, and enjoyable.
Schedule
Weekday sessions (Except Tuesday)
7:00 PM EST start time
Sessions expected to run ~3–4 hours (flexible)
What we’re looking for in a DM
Some DMing experience and comfort running 5E
Communicative and open to feedback
Enjoys working with existing lore and homebrew
Invested in collaborative storytelling
Someone we can genuinely welcome into our friend group—not just our DM
We value respect, creativity, and enthusiasm for storytelling. This is a table where player agency matters, communication is important, and everyone is here to have fun and tell a meaningful story together.
If this sounds exciting to you as much as it does to all of us, please fill out the form below and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
