Game: D&D 5e or 5.5e Group preferred: Online or in Philadelphia, PA Experience: A couple of years - one as a wizard and one as a druid Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Friday evenings and Sundays are my best times. Possibly Monday, Thursday, or Saturday evenings Preferred role: Player Game style:
I'm looking for a good mix of roleplay/exploration/combat; I really enjoy the rp aspect and having a fun storyline to follow as well as the flow of combat. Casual player here hoping to have fun and maybe make some friends along the way. For online games, being able to roll my physical dice is a must, there's something really satisfying about it. I prefer Discord for voice/general organization, cameras optional.
I love spellcasters and really want to play either a wizard or sorcerer. Class and race ultimately would be determined based on campaign and version of D&D.
One idea I had depends on starting level - a character who starts off down the path of a paladin, but realizes magic is her calling and not sword fighting. The reason she started as a paladin would be worked into the setting, but originally the idea was that she was a cultist who fully believed in that cult. Until she became disillusioned and, after fleeing the cult, wanted to atone and become a paladin to fight those in power in cults throughout the land - and then found magic was her calling in that fight instead. Functionally, starting with a level in paladin then multiclassing into wizard or sorcerer. (Yes, the wizard scenario does require good dice rolls since it would require 13 in strength, charisma, and 13+ for int. In addition to dex and con are really important, when usually strength & charisma are dump stats for wizard. A level in cleric might be a more realistic scenario without good rolls, maybe she started out as a cleric in the Peace or Order Domain.)
As far as campaign types, I'm really wanting to play in the standard d&d high fantasy setting (nothing space, mech, etc). Homebrew campaigns only, I'm not wanting to play one of the premade campaigns like Descent into Avernus.
Looking for groups that are 18+ (21+ preferred), lgbtq+ friendly. Free games only.
