Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Discord, and Roll20) Experience: Veteran Location/Timezone: Houston, CST Schedule: Games will be at least once a week but could be more or less depending on the schedules of the players. Roles sought: 3 Players Game style: Casual, Story, Puzzle solving, Combat, and political intrigue.
So a friend and I are starting up a new 5E campaign and looking for 3 more group members. My friend is a long time D&D player and has GM'd a few games, and I am an experienced GM. The campaign will probably run about 50+ sessions and has the chance to continue on from there. Currently, we are going to be running 2 one-off scenarios to see how players respond in different situations before we start the actual campaign. This is due to the fact that both my friend and I have played a bunch of campaigns where players either don't care or are just wanting to kill every NPC in sight. We will run these scenarios until we have filled out the group, and then we will start the actual campaign.
If you want to join please comment in this thread or dm me. We don't care if you are new to D&D or veterans everyone is welcome as long as you can respect the other players and want to have fun. Also, we are going to be using https://roll20.net/ To run the campaign and Discord to talk.
So, we are still looking for 3 more players if anyone else wants to join. The next round of one-offs will start this Saturday 9/15 at 1 pm CDT. Once the actual campaign starts it will be on Saturdays starting at 2pm CDT each week, please keep this in mind if it may conflict with your schedule.
Oh, I'll throw my name in the hat for this! Political Intrigue is one of the best types of campaigns if done correctly with people willing to talk and rp.
Potentially interested. New-ish, have played a little over a dozen sessions between a couple different games and oneshots. Very interested in a story with depth to it where I could really get into my character.
My discord: stranger#3910
Would games always be on Saturdays at this time, or is that just for these oneshots until the group is chosen and can agree on the best time for everyone?
Games wouldn't always be on Saturdays, we would set session dates and times based on everyone's schedules. This Saturday was just the time that I personally had available to start the one-offs.
So everyone that has expressed interest for this Saturdays session has been sent a link to the roll20 site campaign if you are able to make it that would be great if not that is ok as well. Tomorrow will simply be about seeing how players interact with each other, and the scenarios with which they are presented. Don't worry about trying to do your best character voices or amazing role-playing, just be yourself and have fun. I already have designed some characters for the one-offs so you don't need to worry about making one. There will be a grand total of 2 scenarios tomorrow and overall they should only take up about 30 minutes to an hour, hope to see everyone there.
I'm interested, new to playing D&D but love the idea of telling a story through characters. Long time RPG player and Critical Role brought me into the D&D world. Prolly too late to join the Saturday event but if not shoot me a message, have a account here and on roll20 so have that part setup and any voice program won't be a problem (have them all installed from other games). I'm the same timezone as you (in San Antonio) so that part is perfect for me! Will check PM's here and roll20 (Frank D. on that site) but understand if it's too late to join in.
I hope i'm not too late for this but i would love to join a game about more than just eradicating dungeon after dungeon.
My old group fell apart recently and i'v been meaning to fill the void i now have in my weekends. I'm pretty experienced in 5E (about 10 campaigns played and DMed)
and I'm quick to get to know.

OK, so the next round of one-offs will be held on Wednesday, September 5th at 6:30 pm. This round is for people who were not able to or did not participate in the first one-offs. I will notify each person individually as well, through D&D Beyond's private messages.

Gonna go ahead and toss my name in to the pot. I need a group to run with on saturdays. My buddy who is a Gm got me use to a bunch of town phase and I enjoy not fighting 24/7. I am on EST if that makes a difference
Heya! I'd be up for joining if you'd have me. I'm a new player, never actually got to play a game yet, but I've been watching D&D videos [mostly Critical Role] for a while now, and I've got a pretty decent idea on how to play. The schedule shouldn't be a problem, I'm pretty open most days, but I'm in Cali so just a forewarning on that. My discord if Tentislime#6039 if ya wanna get in touch.
I am very interested and have a bunch of characters concepts that I could draw from when the time came. I would love to play in a n intrigue game. The best game I ever played was intrigue based and I really enjoyed it. As far as the one offs go I am EST and work 8-5 m-f so the earliest I could do one is at 6:00pm est, but the Saturday time would work out well. Thanks for considering.

Ill throw my name in as well, I'm new to DnD after watching Critical role. I'm open to any RP or stuff like that.
