Experience: Returning player (played ~40 years ago), currently re-learning the game with the new Player’s Handbook
Location/Timezone: Melbourne, Australia (AEST)
Availability: Flexible evenings and weekends (happy to coordinate with group schedule)
Preferred role: Player
Game style: Story-driven with strong roleplay, character development, and meaningful choices. I enjoy a balance of roleplay and combat, leaning more toward immersive storytelling than min-maxing or hack’n’slash.
Hi, all.
I bring creativity, a love of fantasy storytelling, and a genuine enthusiasm to learn (or re-learn) the game. I’m easygoing, reliable, and here for the shared experience—good stories, memorable moments, and a bit of chaos along the way.
Character Options
Gaelen (Tiefling Bard): (https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/163020596/WciTEP) Gaelen is charm made flesh—quick with a smile, quicker with a song, and always working a room to his advantage. Once rising swiftly through the ranks of the underworld, he learned that charisma can open doors just as easily as it can close them. Beneath the polished performer lies a man shaped by loss; he once loved deeply and lost everything, and while he still indulges in fleeting romances, his heart remains firmly guarded. He walks the line between entertainer and opportunist, using wit, music, and misdirection to survive—and perhaps, one day, to atone.
Velithra (Drow Warlock): (https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/162966185/zxqLUA) Velithra is a survivor of shadows she barely understands. Raised far from her true heritage and haunted by the violent loss of her parents at the hands of drow, she carries both fear and an unknowing connection to something far darker. Intelligent and perceptive, she relies on caution and subtlety, often questioning what is seen versus what is hidden. Her magic is both a gift and a mystery, and as she grows in power, so too does the unsettling sense that her fate may be tied to forces she cannot yet comprehend.
If your group is open to someone rediscovering the game with enthusiasm and respect for the table, I’d love to chat and see if we’re a good fit.
