I am a new player, looking for a campaign to join.

I am a new player that discovered DnD, and it looked fun. I've always liked table top board games, and DnD looked fun. I haven't invested much in the game, the only things I bought were the players handbook, and a set of dice. I have done a lot of research on the game by the reading the book I got, looking online, and watching videos. But, I am still confused on some aspects of DnD. And I am also looking for people to teach me, and help me understand the game more. I don't know anything on being a DM, so I can't host any campaigns. But I am willing to join any. I am fine with filling in for a player for a few weeks or more. I am also fine in taking over for someone whom recently left the party. I am just here to have fun and be a part of the community.
