Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (Discord and Roll20) Experience: New and Experienced for online Location/Timezone: EST (GMT-4) Schedule: Weekend nights (8/9-whenever we find a go place to stop) Role sought: 4 to 5 players Game style: Casual custom campaign.
Dungeoneers,
I have a game set up that has finished it's first story arc. Had a lot of player drain during the game (started with like 9 players, ended with 3) so I'd like to recruit again before starting the next part of the game. Don't worry, if you join you'll be caught up on anything important.
I am fine with any experience level. The issue I've seen is how a player respects the DM. I will not get into it here but I made a bad joke and some players got really mad because of it and left after the incident.
Just be an adult about it. Though I am fine with kids playing. Most of those I've played with are in their early 20's so I have no problems with being young. I'll just have to adjust some things and we'll be good.
I am hoping a session will be about 2 hours long. However, if combat or just something important needs to happen, that can be extended. School is in session, and people have work (including myself) so I don't want this to be a problem for people.
The campaign is a custom one from basically the ground up. Me and my friend (who is also playing) are working on it together so a lot of things can go wrong but also a lot of improvising happens. That is the name of the game for D&D.
Also there is some additions to the game. I added a custom class and also a new animal follower you can get through a rite of passage (i.e. get the shit kicked out of you). Also, custom classes are welcome, just have to let me know beforehand and also know that Roll20 has some difficulty handling them. It's just not built for them.
The group is leaning mostly to being good. We have had neutrals, many in fact actually. Evil additions would be an interesting thing to have in the dynamic, but it would require some thought on how it would work. Try to stay away from it with a character unless you absolutely need to be evil. Then I will adjust to it.
If you are serious about playing, send me a message and I'll give you the link to the discord I've set up just for the game. If you do join and change you mind, you are free to leave but do let me know if you're leaving and if you want you can tell me why. I try to strive for the best as a DM.
I'm interested in joining your group, I would be a completely new player and require a lot of guidance but am willing to take direction and learn quickly. If this sounds doable to you just let me know. If not, good luck in and happy hunting.
I might be able to do a weekend night game. Message me on Discord: EbonyPegasus#7223
I'm in Boston (on EST) and 33 if that makes any difference. Still fairly new but I've been playing 5e off and on for a year so I know enough to hopefully not slow anyone down.
I'm very much interested in joining your group. Some friends of mine got me into dungeons and dragons recently however I'll be honest and say I've never played before but I've done my research. I am from San Antonio Texas and am 16 but it takes a lot to offend me so I can handle the campaign. As mentioned before I am fresh to the game and will need help but I'm willing to work to get good at the game. I play a Chaotic Neutral Half-Elf Bard.
I also have a question about homebrew trinkets, before I got a copy of the PHB, I looked online for everything and when I made my character I found a puppet that mimics only my movements when I set it on the ground. If you are ok or not ok with this item please let me know.
Heyo~, this sounds fun and I would be happy to join! Saturdays are currently uncertain since I am in another campaign that meets every other Saturday with varying meeting times, but Sundays are almost completely open. Character would be formed after getting more info on what ya currently have, but can be done fairly quickly.^-^
Hello! I've been looking for a group for a while, and I'm very interested in possibly joining your campaign. I've never played the game before, but I've been introduced to it, and I have a general grasp of the rules and how the game is supposed to work. I'm 22 and also in the Eastern Time Zone (Ohio, USA). I might need a little guidance in building a suitable character, as character creation has never been really explained to me, but I'm eager to learn and very interested in playing the game.
