We are group looking for 1-2 more players to play in a campaign in a homebrew world. Currently have five players consisting of a monk, wizard, hexblade warlock, rogue and barbarian.
The setting for the campaign is that the party are members of an adventurer's guild that take various contracts and assignments to explore, adventure, and interact with the wide world around them. This campaign features a balance of roleplay and encounters set on maps.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online-Roll20 with Discord for voice chat. Experience: New / a few years / veteran Location/Timezone: The group currently has players in US Eastern and Central Time Zones Schedule: Weekly on Thurdays 10PM to 12:30 EST Roles sought: 1-2 players (18+) Game style: This game will balance role play, combat, and exploration. We are open to players of any skill or experience level. You don't have to do character voices or accents, but everyone is highly encouraged to participate in role play in whatever way is appropriate to their character. Even if your character is quiet or reserved, figure out a way to have them interact with others and the party. No brooding/loner characters. We are definitely open to jokes and silliness, but if your character or character's behavior entirely revolves around jokes this might not be the game for you.
Characters will start at Level 4, and will be new members of the Steele and Locke Adventurer's Guild. The reason for this, is that as new members of an adventurer's guild, it is expected that you are talented and have some experience in the world. The party will choose from among contracts and assignments given to the Guild. These adventuring missions will last anywhere from one to several sessions. However, the contracts and adventuring missions take place in the context of a larger campaign that takes place in a living, breathing world that reacts to the actions of the party. Even though there are contracts and assignments, the campaign is set in a sandbox setting and the party can choose to do whatever it wants. Characters can be built using any published 5e material, critical role material, or unearthed arcana (with DM permission). We use a custom method of rolling for attributes that is generally very favorable to the players. We use xp leveling.
A couple things about me and this game. I am pretty relaxed as a DM, and will generally rely on players to keep track of their own characters including spell slots, HP, abilities, etc. I have served as a GM in other games, and ran DnD one shots, but this is my first campaign as a DM. I view my role as DM as being responsible for facilitating everyone having a good time, and will do my best to make my rulings reflect that. I expect that if you have a disagreement with me or another player, it gets addressed before or after the game, not during.
If you are interested in joining please make a post with the information below:
-Name you prefer to be called
-Age
-Experience with tabletop games
-What you expect out of this game, and what you hope to avoid.
-Character concept: Race, class, any subclasses, and any other other information you want us to know about your character (you don't have to give away too much background if you don't want to)
Hey guys! Your campaign seems like fun so I'd love to join.
Name-John
I'm in central time zone and i work from home so really any time is fine with me.
Age- 21
Experience- New to D&D but I've played tabletops for a while. Like star wars and total warhammer.
Looking to just have a fun time and meet new people. Go on a dope adventure and get lost in a world. Hoping to avoid? Hm. People that are rude to newer players.
My character is called "Elword" He's a half-elf ranger/Sorcerer. He specializes in Dual sword fighting and can talk to animals and stuff of that nature. He just does whatever he pleases whenever he pleases. Doesnt matter if its good or bad. As long as he thinks it will help him out somehow.
I have discord/skype and also roll20 if that is going to be used so I'm available to talk in any form you guys need.
Looking forward to maybe playing with you guys!
If you need to get into contact with me my discord name is "TheMythicalDuck #4899"
-played D&D since 2008. experience with 3e, 3.5e, 4e, 5e, shadowrun, pathfinder, and a little bit of pathfinder 2e. most of my experience is in level 1-2 characters
-I am expecting to have an enjoyable time with a group of other players, as for what i wish to avoid? not much of anything really.
-Character concept: Tabaxi, Ranger more focused on archery then melee, Lived in the wilds for a vast majority of his life with his mother. On her passing she told him that there is more then just the place they called home and urged him to get out and explore more of the world. He decided to follow her will and left far beyond the boundaries he once knew, by chance he happened upon a group of traveler who agreed to let him join them. He helped them fend off an ambush along the way and they gave him their thanks and some tips on where he could use his skills to earn a living, so he became an adventurer.
I am of the age of 17 I know, a little young but yeah.
I have been playing dnd for about a year now so I am still a “newbie”
What I really want out of this game is a game where the decisions we make as a party really do make a difference. I also want to improve my role playing skills since I haven’t had much exposure to it. I do not want to see a “hostile group” I have had situations where the party starts to really dislike each other out of character and that impacts the game itself.
My idea is a monk of shadow and assasin rogue. Kind of like a Robin Hood ideal type of character. Take from the greedy give to the poor. I also wanted it to be a changeling. So essentially good at heart and does what he thinks is right despite what the law says.
I do have a discord and roll20. Would love to be a part of your campaign
Hello, This game is actually perfect since it's on my off day. Here's hoping my application interest you.
Name I prefer: Elliot
Age: 20
Tabletop Experience: I've been playing home brew games for about 5 or years now. I used to play with some friends when they made their own game with their own systems I started playing 5th edition a year ago and now I'm DM'ing my own game on Fridays in the meantime. I'd say I'm an average experienced player
What I except/What I want to avoid: I really just want to come into this and make friends, joke around and make a story together. If anything I would just want to avoid negative and hateful speech and hopefully have everyone be respectful to one another.
Character Concept: I don't have any big backgrounds to fit them but here are a few ideas I have. One is a Tiefling Gunslinger who's essentially a cowboy, Second is a Half-Elf Light Cleric who studies/hunts vampires, Third is a Halfling Fighter who's your pretty basic Folk hero Archtype good guy, and Forth is a big maybe cause its a Wild Magic Sorcerer Elf who has zero control of his magic due to a Fey's curse
There you go. If you decide on me here is my discord name: CrystalDiglett#4333
-I enjoy games with RP and where the group generally gets along and works together to solve puzzles and issues.
-Bard Changling - Concept is a actor who was tricked into killing his love on stage by a rival who replaced a prop crossbow with a real one. The character is now haunted by his love who stays with him and keeps him company until his death and they can go over to the other side together. Character would be working on attempting to figure out a way to bring her back.
-I've been playing for 5 years mostly as a DM, but havnt been able to in the last 6 months due to a move
-I really love just crafting a story and interesting inter-player interaction. I have been wanting to play this character for a while and would love a chance to play again.
-Character concept: Phineas Yenroar, the Half-Orc Bard of the college of Lore. I can give more info to the DM to help him be more ingraned in the world, but the basics are he travels around to earn money that he sends back to a large family in a small village.
Thanks for the time and I hope to game with you soon!
Brief Bio: I have about a year's worth of experience with DnD, namely 5e and Pathfinder. I've done both real life and roll20, so I am familiar with how roll20 works (mostly)! I've also DM'ed some games for 5e, so I am always willing to help out newer players too. I like to have fun and make new friends, and find creative ways to figure out situations and roleplay!
Character Name: Aren Viscount (Pure Warlock Hexblade)
Age: 25
Brief Bio: Aren Viscount was once a happy young boy, until a painful sickness came over him, crippling him by infecting his nervous system and nearly killing him, if not for constant infusions of healing magic to keep him alive. One day, due to a forgetful mistake, Aren's healing supply was cut short, and his life quickly left him. At Death's door, Aren encountered a powerful and mysterious spirit, who was also lost like him. The spirit offered to restore Aren's body, in return for his service towards the spirit until seen fit. Aren accepted, and miraculously recovered on his own, with mystical runes forming on his body. Now, Aren travels the land, searching for an origin to his mysterious savior.
Hello I am very interested and wouldn't have an issue with the time I am EST too and Thursdays are a great night for me.

-1 year of playing d&d/ I really get into the lore and read it like a book
-The campaigns I played in were all moved to times I can’t play anymore, I would love to play again. Not to much to avoid I love a good story and good fun.
-Character concept:
Not sure if you are against duplicate Character classes so here’s a couple of concepts I’ve wanted to play and have developed ideas around.
Air Genasi Gunslinger (if your world permits)- Samir Quickling (ask if interested this one is pretty world permitting as far as what I developed)
Fallen Aasimar Shadow Sorcerer- Bastion Godwin (again ask if interested)
Winter Eladrin Swashbuckler Rogue/Warlock dip for patron- I picture this character as the up and coming champion for either the summer fey or winter fey. Taking a lot from dresden files on this one.
Huzzah! If you are still looking for players, I would love to join! It sounds like a lot of fun, especially since I too DM - would be nice to be a player once in a while!
-Name you prefer to be called: Will
-Age: 27
-Experience with tabletop games: Roughly a few years. Played 3.5 since high school and just recently started up 5e.
-What you expect out of this game, and what you hope to avoid: I expect to have fun! Make new friends, enjoy a game which I personally feel is intended to bring people even closer and create a sense of comradery. But most of all, have fun! xD
What I hope to avoid, is drama (Out of game of course). You are using your time to create something for everyone who is involved to enjoy and I hope to play with like-minded individuals who too share that respect.
-Character concept: Hm.. Concept. Lately I've been wanting to play a swashbuckling rogue.. who uses a whip and shield! Alternatively, I would love to try out a Cleric/Warlock combo as well! I have a backstory for the rogue as well as the Cleric, though the rogue one is more solid at the moment.
I hope to be playing with you all, if you accept me. No worries if ya don't!
Thank you for your consideration and your time! Huzzah!
-Name you prefer to be called: Ghost, but you can call me by my characters name too.
-Age: 18
-Experience with tabletop games: I'm very new. I'm currently playing in a campaign, so I know how to came works.
-What you expect out of this game, and what you hope to avoid: I hope to find some new friends, and some new experiences: I hope to find new friends and fun game, and a good time. I hope to avoid any drama out of game. I don't do well with it.
-Character concept: A Kalashtar Claric named Novakri (Nova for short), who can see the dead, and lives a hermit's life.
New-ish, but I've played a few one shots on Roll20 and have been with a consistent offline group every Sunday for about 3 months now (We are currently level 5, so it's a good jumping in point for me as well!). I'm pretty good with rules and only need to ask questions if something really strange comes up.
-What you expect out of this game, and what you hope to avoid:
I love roleplaying and hoping others in the game would like to do it to as well (I'm not good by any means, but I'm always hoping to improve it). The campaign I'm in is currently a dungeon crawl and I'd love to play in a more open world game. I'd like to meet new and interesting people in this community and be friends.
I want to avoid conflict at all costs within the party. Other than that, I'm a really easy going guy.
-Character concept: Race, class, any subclasses, and any other other information you want us to know about your character (you don't have to give away too much background if you don't want to)
Male human, Cleric of the Forge. I have a little bit of background written up for him, but I'd write more of it if I was accepted! Basically he was adopted by an elder dwarf at a young age, and thus worships Gond.
FYI I'm in PST, but 10pm EST would work perfectly for me anyways. If you'd like to talk more please DM me, I'd love to start a conversation. Look forward to hearing from you and if not, I wish your group the best!
If you need another I'd like to throw my hat into the ring.

I'd love to have some great role playing times with my party and just have fun fighting, character interactions, going on adventures etc. I don't really have anything I'd like to avoid off the top of my head.
A variant human fighter named Hakudishu Hawkstriker, but just Haku for short. I'm also thinking of multiclassing later if we get that far. Former mercenary trying to be a better person than he was. I have more details but that's the basic profile of him.
Anyway thanks for reading this post and have a good day!

Hi, Ive been looking for someplace to use a couple of character ideas, the one I want to use for this is a race from volo's if that's ok.

-pretty new, but I have played a bit, and I am familiar with roll20
-I am looking for a game that meets consistently, I have had problems with inconsistency in the past.
-Rurnadald, a kobold bard who is trying to free all kobolds from the oppressive rule of dragons, and is a member of the college of lore
Thanks. If volo's doesn't work I can change the race.
