Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online using Discord and Owlbear Experience: New player friendly and preferred, open to experienced players as well. Location/Timezone: GMT
Schedule: Choose from three different games running during the week, with available slots on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday that'll be posted below.
Roles sought: Looking for at least 3 players to be able to start each game, with a maximum of 5 per game.
Synopsis: 'Masks of the Dragon Cult' is a level 1-7 adventure, where your party must uncover the mystery of why a country-spanning cult dedicated to dragons is causing chaos and strife. You'll start off approaching the town of Greenrest as it's under siege by a small army of bandits, kobolds and other ne'er-do-wells, and it'd be up to you to save the day!
This adventure will have you and your brave companions infiltrate enemy camps, visiting key locations like Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep and more! Taking on foes steel to steel, magic against magic, and making allies of all shapes and sizes. It'll be up to you to uncover the deep, dark secrets of these cultists and put a stop to their plans once and for all! You may start small, but working together, you could change the fate of the world before it's too late.
Are you up to the challenge? If you wish to put your hearts and minds to the test against the might of dragons, sign up and become a hero!
Game style: I'll stick to Rules as Written as much as possible, but I'm not averse to using the Rule of Cool if something is just too good to pass up; More like 'Rules as Guidelines'. My Combat would be fair but challenging, and players will always have a chance to run if necessary. I much rather players experiment with outlandish ideas that may not work than play it super safe.
For those who may have played this module before, I may add in some small changes to spice things up, such as adding new monsters where appropriate. I use ambient music and do my best to add interesting and unique NPC voices. If you wish to try out a voice or something a little kooky, by all means try it out here; This is a safe place to test your ideas.
All in all, we're going to have a gentleman's agreement; You're here to have fun and engage with the module, I'm here to have fun and run the module, and we're here to have a good times
Homebrew rules: Drinking a potion is a bonus action. We'll be using 'Perkins' Crits- On a crit, one die roll is max damage. Death Saves will include a flashback for the downed player per roll to keep them in the flow of combat.
