Hi everyone!

I’m running a weekly pay‑to‑play D&D 5e campaign beginning with Curse of Strahd and expanding beyond Barovia into higher‑tier play if the group is interested. We currently have 5 players and 1 open seat after one player’s work schedule changed.

We’re 13 sessions in, level 4 and nearing level 5. The PCs and world are really starting to open up, so this is a great time for a new hero to dive in! 

What to expect: 

• Beginner‑friendly and inclusive table
• Level 4 to 10 gameplay, with potential to continue further to level 20
• A balanced mix of roleplay, exploration, mystery, and tactical combat
• A blend of 2014 and 2024 rules that favors player empowerment 
• A dark fantasy / gothic horror tone (bleak, atmospheric, and story‑driven)

About my DM style: 

I’ve been DMing for over a decade and focus on collaborative storytelling. I’m very much a “yes, and” DM and actively tailor the game toward what players enjoy most. I work really closely with players to integrate them into the game world and develop some kind of secret for the rest of the party to discover about them! I provide a lot of support with character creation, rules, and online tools, and I use premium maps, music, and digital assets to make online play feel immersive. I also use a custom “boon point” system to both allow us to acknowledge great roleplay and further customize characters with additional features. 

Why this is a paid game:

Free dinner parties at a friend's place and going out to eat at a restaurant are both great and valid options! Neither is better; we just have different expectations based on the resources we put into each. This game serves as the latter experience!

- Torvi the Half-Elf Warlock whose pseudodragon familiar who is more bark than bite (but does still, in fact, bite)

- Freg the Dwarf Oath of Devotion Paladin who is missing an eye and is seeking to recover lost memories of her time in Barovia

- Cormac the Elven Gloom Stalker Ranger who is now grappling with his haunted past

- Katrina the Human Shadow Sorcerer and Barovian native who was just discovered to be a Dhampir!
