Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: a few years Location/Timezone: Texas Availability: 6-10 Weekdays, Weekends Free unless my work is open. Minor theme park WIP. Preferred role: Player Game style: Casual with roleplay and hack'n'slash elements. I like a good roleplay, but there are classes that aren't really built for it. Sure the barb can maybe throw out a fun one liner or two here and there depending on the personality but if they don't have good roleplay stats and thus sideline for anything that could require said rolls then well... feels bad if thats the whole session (or multiple). Kind-of like how a bard is really good for roleplay but not necessarily built for combat damage nums, so reverse can be true.
I like creative tables, but I'm fine with books.
I work weekdays (And sometimes weekends - I work for a minor/developing theme park so being open on weekends is possible) 8-5ish. I like pretty casual groups, though I admit sometimes I obsess for hours over stats and characters. Who doesn't love nice damage numbers numbers - or doing something weird for the fun of it. One of my favorite characters was a minor dragonkin using a dragonborn stat block that used giants path barb to 'get big and grapply for kaiju battles'. That and a possessed plush puppet (warforged stat block) but that was sadly short lived. The short on youtube of the rogue horse born from a centaur still sounds fun. Yes I can play 'standard' characters if required.
