Potential Character Goliath Battle master or Dwarven Light Cleric
Bio (Try for a decent paragraph.): Haldor Flintskin was born in the eastern side of the northern country of Noren among the mountains of the Silace Grove. He grew up in a simple fishing village near one of the icy mountain lakes nearby. As the son of a farmer, after working the fields and tending the herds each day, Haldor and the other village youths would spend part of every day racing one another, wrestling, throwing spears and axes at targets, shooting bows and learning arms & armor from the gaffers and veterans while the adults mostly worked the lake for its bounty. His father, Beleg, was a quiet man, but many in the village respected the wisdom of his words when he spoke. While battles were not common, they were never quite far enough away, either. As Haldor grew into a young man, he began to ply his weapon skills more seriously. He knew there would be attacks on the village in due course from Orcs, Trolls, or the ever-present Ice gnolls. Beyond his desire to protect the village, however he had an overriding need driving him forward as well. His family name was not among the High council that ruled the village, but Bjorn Skymirror's was. Bjorn was given deference in almost everything because his father Thalion was the leader of the council. And then there was Haelea Brightaxe... She was nearly a match for any of the youths in her speed and she won races regularly against all comers. To Haldor, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen and he would dare any challenge to impress her. Needless to say, Bjorn strove to keep them apart at every turn. -OR- Thuldor Graniteblood was born in the Graniteblood clanhold in the southern tip of the Sword mountains, just east of Thornhold. He grew up in a small, rough, back-country setting, but lived comfortably in the safety of the clanhold. Since reaching maturity, he has been working as a blacksmith and healer: combat and death were never far enough away. The eldest sons of each Graniteblood family have become clerics of Moradin for several generations and Thuldor has proudly carried on this tradition. He seeks to make his god, his father and his clan proud of him and his service. In accordance with tradition, when he chose to follow the path of Life, his last name was changed to Rhys in deference to one of the most celebrated of all healers who served in the court of the three Kings in antiquity Rhys Stonehands. He has lost friends and kin to raids from brigands, goblins, orcs, ogres and trolls, usually as they provided protection to travelers along the High Road near Thornhold for merchants going between Waterdeep and Neverwinter. The dwarves send out patrols along the High Road near Thornhold in accordance with a treaty signed with Lord Nasher. Thuldor hates the evil races - worgs, goblins, orcs, gnolls, trolls, giants, et. al. There is little room in his heart or religion for compassion in his dealings with them.
Things you or your character want to do or experience: Either char would like to form strong bonds among their party members, build trust and all strive together to do as much good as possible to make the lives of all the Good people better. Both have heard of long-lost magic items that might yet be recovered which would greatly strengthen their standings within their clans.
I'm an experienced D&D player with roughly 10 years of experience mostly as the DM. I am looking for a chill group to roleplay with. Potential Character NEW: I'm seeing several front line melee and a couple of potential clerics. I'll probably play a wizard for control and utility. I like to know what most of the other players are playing first so I can fill the gap (e.g., healing, charisma skills, tank, controller, thief, etc.). Everything about the character is generated based on the role they will fill, the details of the campaign, and DM house rules. I will be playing a spellcaster, I can make spellcasters fit most roles, and I purposely avoid creating boring blaster wizards or broken, highly optimized builds unless everyone else in the group wants that kind of game. I prefer a character that is well-rounded and not min-maxed for combat.

The scars of this creature were unable to be healed by this beast, and the scars to her soul broke her connection to the Wildmother.
