A raid on a local tavern. An attack so close to a town like this was either bold or reckless. Unheard of, even. Modestly armoured town guards stood in lazy clusters around the scene's perimeter, hands wrapped tightly around their blades despite some resting against the nearby stone walls. They ensured the tavern’s double wooden doors remained firmly shut.
Whatever happened inside clearly was not for the common eye, if the guard looking anywhere but the open windows was to be trusted. Clouds stretched across the day’s cerulean sky like untouched cotton while the town’s cobblestone and brickwork glistened beneath the summer sun.
The streets remained busy as ever. Markets filled with travellers and townsfolk alike while light conversation softened the air with laughter. A far cry from the dangers lingering beyond the open roads surrounding them. Busy enough, at least, to disguise the vacant look dressing the tavern keeper as the world passed him by.
At first glance, the town was picture perfect. Whether you found that comforting or not was up to you. Either way, adventurers like you were hired for a reason. Investigate the ransacked tavern. Find out who was responsible. You’d been told it was drow and goblins. Simple enough, on paper.
Let’s hope the coin is worth it.
Hey Guys! We wanna run a game based in a new, custom Fantasy Campaign, heres some of the features!
The setting is a warm, dark, high fantasy adventure. There'll be divine / demonic themes, High fantasy monsters and races, ancient ruins and grey factions among warm NPCs and cozy towns.
I've been DMing for like 4 years now! Final Fantasy 14, Dark Souls, Diablo and classic fantasy/JRPG adventures are the main inspirations for the game. Overall pretty chill and laid back, love brainstorming and talking future scene ideas as well!
We'll start at Level 1, we're using DND 5.5e and Changlings and Warforged won't be used in this setting.
For aesthetics, you can totally play races as human hybrids! For example, Dragonborn can be half-dragons, Tabaxi can just have ears/tails, Yuan-ti or Tritons can have scales or smaller racial features while still appearing more human, that kinda thing.
We're not really looking for a slow 1 or 2 post per day Async since it really feels like it stops momentum which kills so many games.
We also prefer players 21+ and in/closely around the BST Timezone, where activity will peak during 5-10PM (BST)! If you are not in this timezone but you will be able to be active during those hours, that's fine too!
It'd be awesome for the game to be made up of a group of active players and friends that love talking ooc, hyping each other up, sending memes and honestly, some of the best things about dnd is the inside jokes like character memes related to the game! People who love social games, yapping and hanging out as a little group is a big plus!
