I have about 15 years of DnD experience with some 3.5 and majority 5e (no 5.5 experience but I've casually kept up to date with some of the news so I doubt there would be much trouble with switching). No preferences on rule sets just looking to get back on a table and have some fun.
A lot of that time was spent DMing until the games stopped happening with life and people leaving games and such. I'm looking to get back into a game as a player, no interest currently in DMing again (or backseat DMing haha). I've got experience with VTT on pretty much all Foundry on the DM side, so digital tools should be easy for me to grasp if you like to use them in your game. I also have about 17 source books on Beyond that I'm willing to share with a campaign ranging from all the core books for 5e (PHB, DMG, MM, etc.) to a random mess of things.
Open availability in central timezone.
When it comes to character creation I like to hear from the DM about their world and the current state of things (if an on-going campaign); not a requirement but love a good lore drop and I will read everything you send me before making a character. Not much of a power gamer outside of hardcore campaigns, but I greatly enjoy coming up with a PC that fits worlds lore and narratively makes sense joining an existing group.
Really just putting out some feelers and seeing if anybody is interested in having me. If you'd like to talk more or set up a chat/"interview" you can reach out to me on here or on discord at red828. Same username and icon as on here. No worries if we don't gel and move forward with a game.
Hi! I am running a Forever Table and we have a spot open. I'm looking for an excellent player with a great sense of humor and someone who fits in well with the group. If you'd like to give it a shot, let me know. We play Fridays & Saturdays from 4pm-9pm PST and we are nearly approaching our 1 year anniversary...so we are a consistent, steady and large Campaign and it's amazing.
If you’re still looking for a game, we’re currently looking for players for an online D&D 5e West Marches-style campaign.
Based on what you wrote, you sound like you could be a great fit. We have a homebrew setting with ongoing lore, player-driven choices, guild missions, exploration, combat, and roleplay. Since you enjoy reading world lore and building a character that actually fits the setting, that would be very welcome.
The campaign is set around Amber City, a dwarven city trying to rebuild its reputation after a past war. Players take on missions through the guild, explore dangerous areas, uncover secrets, interact with NPCs, and help shape the world through their actions.
Basic details:
Online D&D 5e
West Marches-style campaign
Homebrew setting
Discord-based
No paid campaign
Flexible sessions based on player/DM availability
Roleplay, exploration, combat, and guild missions
New and veteran players welcome
Since this is a West Marches format, players join sessions based on availability rather than being locked into one fixed weekly party. Your open Central time availability could work well depending on upcoming session schedules.
If you’re interested, feel free to message me with your Discord, general availability, preferred playstyle, and any character ideas you’d like to explore once you’ve seen more of the setting.
