🐉 Looking for Players – Dark Fantasy D&D Campaign (18+ / 20+ Preferred)

I’m a DM with around 2 years of experience, running a long-term campaign with a small group. One player has recently left, so we’re opening the table up and looking for 3 more players to join us. We already have two new players lined up, so this is your chance to jump into a growing party.

This campaign leans into dark themes and storytelling, so if that’s not your thing, this probably isn’t the game for you. I won’t be toning that down—it's a core part of the experience.

🎲 What You Can Expect

As a DM, I focus heavily on player enjoyment and creativity. I’m not a strict rules lawyer—if a rule is getting in the way of something fun or cinematic, I’m open to bending things. If you’ve got a cool idea but think “the rules don’t allow it,” just ask. Chances are we can make it work.

The campaign also takes inspiration from One Piece, with elements like:

Haki-style abilities
Devil Fruit-inspired powers
A custom roll system for rare traits (like Conqueror-style abilities or special lineage traits)

Set in the world of One Piece, before the death of the Pirate King, during a time when the seas are beginning to stir with the rise of legendary figures like Rocks D. Xebec, this campaign invites you to carve your own story into a world on the brink of chaos.

You will begin in the East Blue, in a quiet, nearly forgotten village known as Black Lake. It’s the kind of place most maps barely bother to name—a peaceful settlement where nothing ever seems to happen, and outsiders rarely visit. Each of you has your own reason for being here: hiding from the past, chasing a dream, following a lead, or simply passing through.

But something has changed.

Recently, Marines have begun arriving on the island in increasing numbers. Not just soldiers—but scientists as well. They’ve taken a particular interest in the lake at the center of the village, setting up guarded positions, questioning locals, and restricting access. Rumors are spreading. Some say something was found beneath the water. Others whisper that something was released.

The villagers are nervous. The Marines are secretive. And whatever lies beneath Black Lake may be far more dangerous than anyone realizes.

This is a pirate campaign focused on freedom, ambition, and discovery. Whether you aim to become a feared pirate, a cunning revolutionary, a Marine with your own sense of justice, or something entirely different, your journey begins here—at the edge of something much bigger than yourselves.
