Pitch: vampires, necromancy, questionable deities, friendly neighborhood ghosties vs not so friendly ones, funerals, anti-magic cults? anti-necromancy cults? Imagine a game that is Castlevania, mixed with Sleepy Hollow, mixed with some Dishonored, mixed with Witcher We start at a funeral of one of the city's Nobles. System: DND 5E (2014) Tools: if you have the content on dnd beyond then that's perfect, since i dont, but if you have other means to make a sheet that is also fine with me, played over Discord Schedule: Saturdays 8pm/8.30pm in CEST or UTC+2, 3-4 hours going for weekly since it should be a campaign ish length. Seats: 4-5 (i sort of have one person already soooo guess im going for either 3 more or 4 more)
Really important, this is a text game as in live text game!
ExpectationsGame: My session zeros are usually done as we prepare to play anyway, so you sending me your character concepts, sheet, whatever else, is already counting as session 0. I also always lay out everything way before we even start so you have plenty of time to come up with your character and run it by me. This setting is technically purchasable online but fret not I have the pdf for it and will of course give you it. It is also homebrew as I built around it and expanded the world. So your own homebrew is possibly allowed, I would just have to see what it is and if it fits. No restrictions on classes but some restrictions on races/species. For example gnomes and halflings are super rare in this world. Rule of cool in this house, theater of the mind but I love adding ambient music and background sounds, also we are going for that RP over combat but hey, sometimes we'll get to punch and kick. Themes: It will be a little on the serious side, jokes are welcome but this isn't a stand up show or a circus lol. I said above but basically how Witcher, Castlevania, Dishonored the games are, Sleepy Hollow, so like gothic but not too horror, found family cause I love that sh--, family drama, intrigue, fantasy yeah. I love Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire so going off that. Tone: There is a possibility of dying but then there is also a possibility of returning, I did say necromancy but also some deities may be interested in helping. It's not like danger is lurking at every corner, as this isn't an exploration type of campaign, but it's also not like I'll say "Yeah, no death in this one." I will say, don't stress over it, if it happens it happens if not that's great. It's kind of circumstantial because what if your character dies and there isn't a cleric or someone else who can resurrect? And also you as a player can be "Hm, maybe I don't want my character to return." and that is so valid. Vampires and necromancy are the most prominent things in here so of course there will be some stuff that is a little uncomfortable but nothing crazy as I don't like over describing things anyway. I will say, my games never have racism, homophobia/transphobia, SA and other things related to that, this is a safe space. Safety Tools: I have an RPG Consent Checklist prepared and most things on there I have marked as my own comfort levels and I will distribute copies for everyone.
I won't accept anything AI related, so don't use that crap.
