18+ dnd 2024 Free Game - OOPS! all artists game! - all player levels welcome! LGBTQIA+ friendly

Hi! I'm Flurry/Kieren (they/them)

I've been playing and gming for about 7 or 8 years now and have sadly had some scheduling issues with my forever group as time went on. So now I'm looking to make some new DnD/art friends to play with!

Please don't stress about the artist element though there's no requirement to make any sort of art for the game I'm just hoping to meet and share interests with other artists! any media is welcome, personally I do digital art both 3D and 2D! :D, if your a writer/musician/whatever still feel free to apply! (NO AI "artists")

Currently in terms of times I am free sundays, wednesdays, and fridays - before 10 pm EST. The final date and time will be discussed as a group, if you have any restrictions please mention them so I can keep them in mind!

In terms of the game itself I have 3 working concepts yall can choose from but am open to recommendations or group interests if yall want to add your horse to the race!

• A small town rebuilding (inspired by the obojima books) - you and your party are either old residents or new ones drawn in by the promise of free land to a small town in the mountains, set aside a lake, that has been the recent victim of a dragon attack. Now hoping to rebuild they are looking for the more adventurous sort to help them, both with the towns development and the lingering monsters.
• Adventurer university - you are new students at the Spire Lyceum, a massive beacon of learning within the capital of the empire devoted to training and educating the next best and brightest. (yall can choose as a group whether your starting as child or adult students, if child yall would be the same age, if a adult any age over 18).
• The wizards assistants - for one reason or another you and your party have a contract with an eccentric wizard. What you get it out of the contract is between you and the wizard but the wizard is open about what they want, they want you to do their busy work! be it raiding a dungeon or negotiating with an unruly noble they need someone capable to keep the gears turning while they focus on their research, whatever it may be.

Requirements for players:

• Have a decent mic and quite enough space to partake in sessions verbally
• Basic decency!!! I am nonbinary, and this game is open to everyone, if you feel like you won't be able to engage with your fellow players for some nature of their identity this probably isn't the game for you.
• Be open to fun and story telling - this is a collaborative story telling game first and foremost, having fun and supporting your fellow players and characters is important - murderhobos, lone wolves, and main characters are not good fits for my table Im afraid.
• Be a little artsy! all levels and forms welcome, this is mainly a side requirement lol

Important info:

• The system will be DND 2024, all official sourcebooks allowed, if you want to use something homebrew send it to me and I'll look it over to see if its okay - dont be afraid to ask, I dont bite! (fair warning I have only ever played 2014 so feel free to point out any mistakes!!)
• I try to stick the rules but will often favor in terms of "rule of cool" if it isn't too outlandish
• Homebrew rules: drinking a potion is a bonus action, if you use an action to drink a potion you get the max benefit; Aarakocra and Yuan Ti are banned as player races; wild magic sorcerer uses the increasing dc rule; at the end of session i ask players to dm me a vote for which of their fellow players the want to give inspiration to; all races reach adulthood at 18 and live between 60-300 years - no race is baseline immortal without specific reasoning; grapples are a valid attack of opportunity; Anything that can be done as a bonus action can also be done as an action; you can hold your turn, effectively this means you can specify who you want to go after as long as their are after your initiative, this does not consume your reaction, however all things that would reset or trigger on the start or end of your rolled turn still occur; always reroll 1s and 2s when rolling for hp on a level up; when you get the asi/feat from level up you get 3 asi instead, you can exchange 2 for a feat.
• Character building rules: You get a free level 1 feat; for stats: all your stats start at 0 and you have 75 points to allot wherever to a maximum 18 and minimum 8, you do not have to use all the points; regardless of your race your stat increase is either +1/+2 or +1/+1/+1, base human is allowed but keep in mind the stats rule - I recommend variant; you can multiclass but only up to 2 times; backgrounds are homebrewed by you and I, if you had one in mind let me know!; Your character needs a backstory!; for each player you have a connection too through backstory (doesnt have to be a significant connection lol) you get an extra stat point!; starting level will depend on the campaign.
• I use foundry vtt through forge hosting currently, all rolls/character sheets/maps need to be on that. If you need any help with it please ask!!
• Calls and the communication will be through discord.
